Tks so much for the advise. Now I have the Nexus 7. I find it excellent. BUt its just 16 GIGS and cannot use mSdcard. So I thought if I get this asus memopad HD7 , it can replace my Nexus.

No more already. Now back to 129 for all colors.

Make sure it ships free using AmazonGlobal.

HI Thought to get free Int shipping need to buy min USD$125.

You bought its casing as well to make up to above $125 ?

My UOB credit card finally got charged at an exchange rate of 1.2792 so I paid about S$152.23 for the 16gb HD7. Great deal. That's like a S$96.77 savings. Hopefully it will arrive next week.

Even at US$129, it is still a very good deal.

K Tks. I mean when it was offered at 10$ lesser at 119 :)

And would like to asked owners of this Memopad HD7. as compare to nexus 7 2012, the clarity and resolution as it appears on the Tab , any difference ?

They use diff GPU right ?

IPS 1280 by 800 same as Nexus 7 2012.

Can someone share frank opinion of as compare to 2012 Nexus 7 and this Memopad HD7, which have the upper hand ?

Overall.

If can, pls break down of itinery wise ie:-

Battery duration, screen clarity ....look etc etc :)

Or simple summary would also be helpful.

Like the color choices.

Maybe I let go my nexus and get one of this :)
Can I hear some inputs pls.

Thanks again.

1X HD7 is already USD129. Qualified for free shipping already.

Yes, I did purchase the transcover casing and some other things. It is not that difficult to do so and still keep below what the MemoPad HD7 would cost in Singapore.

Initially, I purchase the HD7 when it was $129 and got the $10 refund claim when the price dropped to $119.

In my opinion, no point changing your Nexus 7 2012 for a Asus MemoPad HD7 because it is more of a lateral move than an upgrade.

I concur with this. Unlike you want the MicroSD slot or the rear camera as those are probably the only major difference between the two units.

Haha...amazon,should thank me for it..for guys who have bought. And are interested..do note that its one year north America warranty.. But 30 days from order date...you can claim warranty from amazon...

s$160 ( got brand ) tablet..where to find in spore? HD screen with ok processor and ram,,haha

Hopefully no such need. But in the worst scenarion, how to send back to claim? Call the same guy who delivered to you or arrange own UPS ? Who pay for the return freight charge?

from what I understand, within 30 days of order, you can contact amazon for rma at amazon cost..after that u need to contact Asus USA for warranty.. Which means you have to pay your own freight...

anyway you can repair the amazon set locally if you are willing to pay for the repair charges? Will the local asus service center still attend to it?

They will but from what I read in the Nexus 7 2013 thread, they will charge some ridiculous evaluation and repair fees which makes buying a new one as a better option.

So far, it appears that the failure rate of the HD7 is rather low as I have not seen any complains as yet in the reviews I visited.

What are the known common hardware failures of the set? Also, how long would it take to arrive if i were to order it from amazon.

Tempting to order one but the lack of local warranty is really worrying.
