also partly mesmerised by the pretty PRC sales chick...lol.![]()
720p vids are of no problem on the HD7
There are plenty 1080p ones on my mSD card, all of which run perfectly
You will want to replace the default video player however
Thanks , but it seem that price is back to usd129 again!

I managed but for USD$129 with free global shipping in Sing dollars with their conversion is about $171 leh not $161 ?
Which player are recommended???
That's for the 8GB, 2MP back camera one (US$129.99)
The one carried in SG is the 16GB, 5MP back camera one (US$149.99) for SG$239
Their conversion =/= direct conversion, they have to make profits afterall, no major corporations are going to ever be that altruistic, and perhaps, in a point I'll get to later, they've applied their state taxes on wherever they might be located, or if they don't apply state taxes due to no physical presence, they have their own hidden taxes to up their own profitability margin
Consider the service involved, item testing availability, shop rent and local taxes plus Shipping Wait VS Immediate Availability
You can only get the HD7 in the US in a walk-in retail shop in Alaska for US$129.99 aand US$149.99, where you don't get taxed for the item, but in every other state, you get taxed for it according to the state tax value
If we take state taxes into consideration, the price of the HD7 in the US (Say from California, which is 8.75% [but 9.25% in some counties]) are US$141.36 (8GB, 2MP) and US$163.11(16GB, 5MP), not including service taxes yet if any which will bump things up further
US$141.36 = SG$176.90 ATM in the US (Cali) for the 8GB version
US$163.11 = SG$204.11 ATM in the US (Cali) for the 16GB version
Both prices apply if we speak of immediate availability, without counting SG's GST applied on top or on it's own from the base prices, and without counting the possible service taxes that get added on top of that as part of the percentage of the base prices
If we take SG taxes on the US base prices, then it'll be
US$129.99*1.07 = US$139.08 = SG$174.05
US$149.99*1.07 = US$160.49 = SG$200.84
Both prices apply if we speak of immediate availability, as opposed to a very long, eager, painful, frustrating wait
In SG, AFAIK the SG$249 price applies with extras like a case and such, depending on the retailer (Courts, HN, Best Denki etc), and SG$239 is for the tablet itself over at Opensurface

I want too where and how to get pls advise thanks![]()
</p>Don't use their conversion but set it to bill you in US $ as your bank will usually charge a much better rate. Amazon needs to protect itself since they only bill before they ship and they will pad the exchange rate to protect them if the rates goes drastically against them.
Mmmm.... which shop?? I like to enquire more about the Sales chick.... opps... I meant to enquire more about the memo pad 8.5 from the sales chick.... lol....
