Will use the infinity as main main phone for a week to test. Will be travelling to Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia next week so it's good to see if it can replace my HTC One. :)

Wow nice holiday. Did you buy the tablet too? If so update us too. Its tempting for me to buy them if they are both good.

Honestly, Asus should buck up their QC.... Bought the padfone infinity from Starhub via the recontract promo. At the SH shop, power on, screen etc all looks OK.

At home, tried listening to mp3, then discovered that the 3.5mm jack abit faulty, ie left channel of the earphone vol is much lower than the right side..... Brought it back to the starhub shop on the same day for an exchange, bloody suxhub pple says no 1-1 exchange policy, must bring to service center...WTF!!!???

And this service center is in an ulu place & closed during weekends.... Not sure whether I can get a 1-1 exchange from Asus.... if not, my new nano-sim can't be used in my old phone ( S2 )....Damn pissed off.....wtf is this lemon law thingy when such big coys can't do a 1-1 exchange for a newly bought item

wow, that's bad bro.

Did you test with different earphones? Maybe the earphones are faulty?

ASUS is a well trusted brand on laptops, etc but they do really need to buck up on their support on telecommunication devices.

Yep, tried a few earphones. Confirmed it's a hardware issue on the audio jack.

Now I also just discovered another issue. If I connected onto wifi, my phone cannot received any incoming calls.....though outgoing calls r ok.....If I off wifi, then all r ok..... wtf???!

The "unable to receive incoming calls when wifi is connected" issue seems to only happened when my mobile is connected to 4G/LTE network. If it's 3G/H+ network, it's fine. Damn, now dunno issit phone issue or Suxhub issue....

Hi,

I'm on starhub and on 4G too and I tested this morning and I don't encounter this issue.

Hi,

Seems to only happened to my home wifi. If I go office and connect to another wifi, incoming calls work even if it's 4G.... Think it's either not fully "compatible" with my router or Suxhub 4G network craps out in my home....

Anyway, my other audio jack issue, went to Asus service center. They also say cannot do 1-1 exchange...But they managed to repair for me. The engineer told me he replaced the whole mobo and even told me I got the "honor" of being the 1st person in SG to get repairs for their latest flagship phone.....duh.....

Asked him whether he can changed my 32GB to 64GB or not, he say cannot - doh!!! Though he said he flashed the latest firmware for me ( even later than the retail version ).

Anyway, after all my troubles on the audio jack issue, I actually discovered that the default earphones supplied by Asus is quite good quality :s22::s22:
