Baseband version : M3.19.21.P1-A80_12133[Apr 30 2013 18:01:08]

Kernel version : 3.4.0-perf-gb79bafa-00002-ge4bfe52 android@mcrd1-16

Build number : JZO54K.STARHUB_PadFone-10.6.8.9-0

Camera FW version: 71064

Touch FW version : C6-T0-V79

Still Android 4.1.2 though

Is the latest firmware similar to the one which FunkySoulyBro had posted previously? My phone firmware is already that :(

Guess i will really need to bring it down to the service centre for servicing. Just to confirm if the service centre opens on Saturday for padfone servicing?

How long will it takes for the service centre to fix the problem?

Thanks for your solution! will update the firmware later and hopefully it solves the touchscreen problem. We are so lucky to be the only one who experienced problems for the phone.

I also find it kind of hard to find the certain settings inside the phone. Such as finding the setting to clear the association in apps (accidentally selected to open links in whatapps with Chrome ALWAYS), the "Manage apps", "allows apps installation from unknown source", etc.

How long asus repair centre takes to fix your phone hardware problem?

Seems like you're new to Android... The clearing defaults can be done via accessing the apps themselves in the Settings. Which ever app you want to clear the defaults you can clear it there.

If I'm wrong there's a app in the Play Store that takes care of that.

ASUS Service Centre took many hours to fix my hardware problems. And now the phone is running smoothly!!

I think the digitizer is too sensitive. When the keyboard area get too dirty with finger prints( for my case) , there will be phantom touches being registered. They are trying to solve it via firmware issues. The two pervious version of the firmware got incorporate some touchscreen calibration and etc. But I'm still having the same issue but much better compared to when I got the set.

Do let us know it the service centre fix your problem. Maybe they change the digitizer.

Yes they changed my digitizer to solve the random touch problem. They are open on Saturdays as well. But be prepared tot wait a long time if you're going on a Saturday!! Or be very early to try and beat the crowd. Check their Facebook page for the address and opening hours.

ASUS Padfone Infinity case/cover for sale

If you're thinking of getting one of the PFI station cases available on qoo10, I've one here to sell. In case you're wondering which one, it's by iGadgetZ, with the title

"SG Stocks !! ASUS Padfone 3 Premium Grade Case for Phone and Tablet Padfone 3 screen protector !!"

link: list [dot] qoo10 [dot] sg/item/SG-STOCKS-ASUS-PADFONE-3-PREMIUM/406892529

Colour: black
Case: Station only
Condition: brand new (apart from once used to test it out)

Bought it at a total of $29+, willing to let go at lower price.

SMS 90127376 if interested.

Anyway for info to all...my padfone couldn't get onto wifi or mobile signal after a reboot. Apparently WW xx.29 firmware was the culprit. Now sending my padfone for service at Trivex. Sien....

Yup ww29. My ota was ok at first. After a while it crashes. Heard mine was not an isolated case as a few users also went down to the service center with same issue.

Btw, anywhere to buy an extra set of the supplied earphones that comes with the PFI? Unlike most other supplied earphones, this one is surprisingly quite good quality. Definitely triumps my old Sennheiser CX300 and the bass is very good for it's size.

Ironically hor, being a basshead, I prefer the bass of this Asus supplied earphone than my UE TripleFi 10 :s22::s22: ( plus it's more comfy wearing this than the TF10 )
