Hey guys, anyone saw the new ASUS PadFone Mini and Zenfone series products were announced during the CES event? More info here at Join the ASUS Keynote @CES 2014 & Introducing ASUS ZenFone and PadFone mini - YouTube

I've created a new thread over here at http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/a...mini-zenfone-series-4532873.html#post82596225 for discussion on these products. What do you guys think of these new products? There are no specific dates on their release though. Worth waiting for these?

Just saw this great tutorial from https://www.facebook.com/asus.sg at https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...64319257.12245.103663889667628&type=1&theater

[The new PadFone Infinity Camera Tutorial: Hi-Light Mode]

Whenever the new PadFone Infinity's PixelMaster camera detects low light scenes, the owl icon automatically pops up allowing you to use the "hi-light" mode which allows you to make your photos brighter!

To activate the hi-light mode, touch the owl icon, then raise the bar above it to your preferred lighting scenario, and take the shot!

PixelMaster automatically adjusts the pixel size to increase light sensitivity by up to 4x for great quality photos, without the need for flash!

Hope to try this out soon! :D

Got the new padfone infinity and a docking station on Friday. Charged overnight last night. This morning I'm able to use the phone with its docking station until maybe around 10 am where i received and error msg saying the padstation had stopped responding. After that I am unable to get the docking station to work anymore. The docking station just blink orange light.

I went down to asus vivo this afternoon tried my phone on their docking station and unable to work, the they tried their phone on my docking station and it booted up, thus i assume there is something wrong with my phone?

Also when used extensively, my phone heats up rather significantly like hotter than a feverish forehead kind of hot. Is this normal?

I would like to ask whether if anyone had similar experience? how was it resolved?

if you just purchased the phone, shouldn't you get a 1-1 exchange in the store if you exchange it within 7 days?

was meant to be a gift so it was more than 7 days from the time of purchas when i open.

hmm... have you tried letting them know of your situation? if they won't consider, you will need to have it serviced at the asus service center.

So did you service the fone or the padstation? got this similar prob, but have not use another padfone or station to test out which unit is actually faulty.

Hmm on VERY HEAVY usage (i.e. Real Racing 3 for 1 hour on Tablet Ultimate Performance mode); I ever got 43 degree Celsius. But normal high usage (playing games, watching shows, Internet browsing, etc.) for ~1 hour I may get 39 degree Celsius. It is no longer a problem to me. A matter of getting used to it I guess.

Dont forget metals heat up and cool down easily. That's why when you touch your PFI in the morning/aircon room, it's super chilly and cold. If you want something more constant, the plastics in Samsung wouldnt heat up/cool down so much. #truestory.

Ya agree. I am comparing with previous Note 2 which can be as cool as 27 deg... I hit 45 deg the max so far.. Everything's still fine so far..

Gd phone afterall.. Love the big screen expansion (padfone station) for games and movies.
*Thumbs Up* :s12:
