I love their laptops; always do not look at any other when I need a Windows OS lappy.

My close friend who's a fan with Padfones became very cold and pissed with it after buying into 3 generations of issues and lousy aftersales support, and I was witnessing it the whole time alongside.

Plus their upgrade schedule.. keep pushing by the quarters.

my PFI is goin to get an additional ZenUI update so, i guess that's a good thing!

Hi,

Can anyone share thier experience with their new padfone infinity phone? ( the later 2013 edition)

I am very close to getting it back I am just wondering what are the feedbacks on the battery life, wifi connection, data connection and voice quality connection?

Most reviews just talks about battery but they don't talk much about the wifi. thanks!

Finally PadFone 2 & PadFone Infinity will get 4.4Kitkat! The update is going to be available by end of Q2 this year and will also have Zen UI! Maybe the delay from original schedule is due to Asus adding the Zen UI to be part of the update?

Thanks for your enthusiasm. But whether the reason is cos of Zen UI, why has it not occurred to ASUS to push out the 4.4.2 first then Zen UI later on when they are ready with it? Constant updates is better than updates on a yearly basis!! I thought with the failure of their PadFone line of devices before the Infinity they would have woken up and learnt. It seems they haven't.

It's a simple strategy to keep their customers happy really.

the reason don't talk much about wifi due to infinity use data plan - in the sim card and therefore no need of wifi.

while I was oversea in hotel - I have no issue with the wifi except some hotel wifi router not strong enough that all. Overall - Infinity do serve is purpose of longer battery on the road.

Anyone send their Padfone infinity to the service center and repair???
How long does it normally take to complete the repair??
I just send it to repair and its about 10days already, no call receive from them and nothing.
For my problems its the multitask touch button failed to work, phantom touch and certain area of the touch screen not working.
They said might be changing the LCD.
Anyone have the same problem?

ps The phone is with me for about 7 months already, not a bad phone.

I wanted to get it this week since last week I saw starhub having a promotion

Padfone- $199 for the $59 plan + padstation ($199). Since I have a $200 voucher I thought it is an absolute steal. but when I went down the promo is already over :( Hopefully will come back before my voucher expires it May. :)

Hey guys!

Heard news that the ZenFone is coming to SG soon, anyone has any info on it?

Btw i have created another thread for it here http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/a...asus-padfone-mini-zenfone-series-4532873.html

Do feel free to share your thoughts on it there coz i'm currently sourcing for opinions to see if it is worth the buy. Heard that it will be cheap and better than XiaoMi, so not sure which one to change to lol

Carrying on from my post (http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/84131536-post473.html), where is the 4.4 KitKat update with ZenUI? It is already the 1st of July 2014. Unless I am wrong, isn't this the beginning of Q3 2014 where the supposed nPFI is supposed to get their 4.4 KitKat update?

This time they are breaking their promise publicly. And they did not even bother to update news of their software delay due to whatever (stupid) reason.

And like I have predicted, Android "L" is already out. Is ASUS going to "skip this and go straight to L"? That would be a massive L-O-L (pun intended). We have been stuck for 4.1.2 Jellybean for more than a year.

Can someone remind ASUS that their PadFone Infinity is their flagship? Who can trust them to deliver for their other product lines - ZenFone; Fonepad, etc.?

Seriously, f*** asus. Their hardware seems subpar for mobile phones.
