Tried to use my padstation and realised that it wasn't working. After inserting the padfone 2 into the station, all I see is just a weird icon.
Anyone encountered that before?
Yes that is the icon that I see. When I insert the phone to the station, there is slight vibration . I've also tried to reboot my phone, even left the station to charge for more than 15 mins. Haiz..Hmm... sometimes they show an icon that shows the padfone isn't inserted properly..
1. try taking it out fully, wait a while put it back in deep enough, it should vibrate when inserted fully..
2. if it doest work, try rebooting the phone and repeat...
3. try leaving the station to charge (by itself and with the provided charger) around 15 minutes and try again..
4. if problem persist, it might be a hardware problem... (by any chance you happen to know anybody else that have a station that you can test your phone on? and his/her phone on your station too..) if not, seems that you might need to bring it over to asus service center...
best of luck!
My first android device... giving me lots of headache.. maybe meant to stay wif IPhone instead...
Yes, planning to visit the service centre tomolo. Any idea whether the accessories will be sold there too??
Hey guys, anyone found a replacement for the PadFone 2's customised usb cable? I know microUSB works, but it's too loose for my taste.. Thanks.

On the same topic, anyone have any idea why padfone2 uses that customised cable? What purpose does the 2 extra pins at the side serves? Because I prefer using normal microusb since can share with other devices.
Huh so if my cable is not lost, it will cost more ah??? Hehehecan go buy a replacement charger from asus at 15 bucks, just tell them you lost or what loh

1) if it's the old one, then just cut it loh. if buying from whymobile, ask them to help you cut?
2) flexi lite got two type, one is the 3G one with 12GB data/month and another one is 4G one with 2GB data/month, do know which one you're currently using, if unsure, check your bill
3) you're welcome![]()
I guess if its your 1st android device, you should have gotten a Samsung S3 or Note 2 instead .... heheYes that is the icon that I see. The purpose in terms of the cable I think is purely to make it a more secured fit (instead of it being very loose)
I believe the only practical reason why they have a bigger port on the phone is to mediate better docking performance..

Yes this is indeed my first android but I'm no ardent fan of Samsung...hehehe
Anyway I've sent my padfone 2 yday. The prob lies wif the padfone and not the station. There was a damage to the charging docket and that is not coveted within warranty. Was told it cost $100 to repair. Requested for discount but the attending CSO came back and told me since it is the first time hence out of goodwill the cost will be waived off. That was the good news but the bad news is I'm 'padless' for 2 weeks bcoz it takes 5 working days for the repair.
Btw, The USB cable cost $15. Am planning to get it when I collect the phone..
So now, I'm using my iPhone for the time being...
did u see them selling the transleeve at the service center?
