H+ is HSPA, aka 3.5G.
LTE/4G is shown as 4G on the antenna there.
i can only see H. not even H+
i guess i juat subscribed to data plan maybe still need to wait for activation.
Helo all, just switched from iphone to padfone 2 since last week. i love this phone but still trying to get use to android OS. I find tat my padfone battery drain up very quickly. Anyone got any good advices?
Thanks in advances
hi
is there any indication to show whether u r on 3g or 4g network?
i only see H on my mobile data network.
my guess is some badly coded app eating up your battery.
You can see the battery usage under settings>battery.
then see what uses the battery most of the time
Thanks for answering my question.
From the info , it shows:
Screen 56%
voice call 15%
android system 13%
cell standby 7%
mediaserver 5%
Candy crush saga 3%
Android OS 2%
So what can i do to reduce my battery usage?
Thanks in advances.
There is a lady at SLS first floor, opposite nubox who can apply matte/glossy screen protector on both the phone and the station for ~$30 (can't remember the exact amount)
get the tablet version of swiftkey flow.
And untick it under Asus customized settings> Dynamic display
When you untick it, the app will close everytime you dock/undock.
Which is good cos it will relaunch in phone mode or tablet mode again depending on whether it is docked or not.
Hi,
Has been using this phone for a week.
I notice one problem. Not sure whether it has been discuss before.
The sound.
The noise seem to be very heavy even when during normal call.
Do you guys have this problem?
You have been using the phone for a long time (56% screen on time).
Which i guess should be more than 3 hours.
I think that battery life is pretty decent.
You should be able to last from morning till night with that usage
PS: Do not install any task/app killer or battery saving app.
Those app does the opposite, it wastes more battery instead
Screen time percentage is always the highest in normal usage, not a good gauge. What helps is the screen ON time (click on the screen line) and the history details (click on the graph at the top). Those 2 screenshots help a lot in narrowing down if ur usage is normal. Thanks for answering my question.

Sadly, it's another glorified "switch stuff off" app.....Btw guys, there is a new app by qualcomm, the manufacturer of the CPU our phone is using.
The app will learn your usage pattern and save battery for you.
This is a proper battery saving app since it is done by qualcomm themselves.
I have just started using it and have to wait a few days before I can make a comment on its usefulness.
Here is the news link:
[New App] Qualcomm Releases Snapdragon BatteryGuru, Aims To Extend Your Device's Battery Life
However I can't download the app from the play store. Says your country blah blah.
So I went to find it in xda.
And here is the download link for the app. You will have to side load it.
download snapdragon BatteryGuru

You've got 3 hrs of screen on time, with about 40% remaining, 13hrs since the last charge. That's pretty decent for a 2140mah battery. Thanks for the reply
Below is my detail:

That being said, there's always room for improvements, but nothing too drastic.
Your mobile signal is bad, but since u can't change the areas you are in, that might be a problem. Maybe LTE reception is bad in those areas? Try toggling to only 3G/HSPA usage until you need LTE.
In a proper scenario, the blue parts on the Awake and Screen on portions should be in sync. (less those very short period of times where background sync happens) As you can see there's a small chunk and a big chunk at the beginning and end of the Awake chart that shows the phone is being awake needlessly. This could be due to an errant app or process (or even possibly due to the phone trying to get a decent mobile signal) . You can use apps like Betterbatterystats from XDA and CPUspy from the Store to narrow down these causes, if you want to.
