Anyone know where I can buy padfone 2 accessories? Like screen protector, casings, usb cables etc.
Thanks
screen protector u can get from Starhub store itself. If im not mistaken it sells both for phone and tablet for either 25 or 28, cant really recall but its only available in glossy.

i changed my side casing after i dropped it 1 week after purchasing the phone and it cost me less than $50. Only thing troublesome was that i have to go back and forth tai seng as that is their only service centre. Hope this helps.

Their branch location can be seen on this website. http://www.asus.com/sg/About_ASUS/Facilities_Branches/
However my advice is to go there early or go there on a Wednesday where they close at 7pm instead of the norm 5.30pm. As the crowd there is usually quite packed, consisting of those repairing laptops as well as phones so expect a queue. Been there several times as of now to repair my asus padfone 2 as well to buy new charging cable. Seems there is the only place to get the cables. Grrrr.. But I am in the midst of selling off this phone now. haha!

If you're there for purchase. I notice the queue goes a lot faster and prioritized...
haha. so you wouldn't need to wait too long if you have no repairs, just make sure you press the queue ticket for purchases.

Hi all,

Did anyone root their padfone2 ? Are there issue using the pad station after rooting? I am thinking to root the phone to install Push Notification Fixer to resolve the delayed notification problem. Thanks all in advance.

Rooted my padfone 2 (new motherboard) using Framaroot ([ROOT] Framaroot, a one-click apk to root some devices - xda-developers).

Installed Push Notification Fixer on play store, and it seems like the delayed notification problem is fixed whenever I'm on data. I'm still getting delayed WhatsApp messages/Gmail notifications on Wifi (maybe its my router/modem?). Anyway, I installed custom recovery and Titanium Backup (to remove Starhub's bloatware).

Still thinking of getting a Nexus 4 for custom ROMS though... I want Paranoid Android on the Padfone 2 so much!

Yeah.. haha! I notice that as well when I went to purchase my charging cable. My number was called up within minutes while the rest is still on the queue. Purchase is much faster than repairs. But still only Tai Seng is the only repair service centre they have. That's kinda troublesome.

Been awhile since I came here... I brought something nice to share! I found a way to help prevent getting scratches during docking/un-docking on a chinese website:

Ezmy PadFone2 保貼回收再利用_防刮秘寶DIY

Basically, the ideal is to paste a screen protector onto the docking station itself where the phone rest. Main thing to take note is:

1) Make sure to cover the line where the metallic and plastic part meets
2) Was mentioned to choose either the phone or the docking station to place the screen protector and not both as it will become too thick (?)

Hi all,

Anyone has sent their Padfone 2 for service on cleaning the dust out of the camera?

Mine is filled with dust, and thought of sending it for service. How long do they take to service it? Could I get it back within the same day?

Asus Supernote features rivals those of the S-pen on Samsung phones. Cool indeed.

Problem though, I needed to install Vnote to imported my older notes from my Samsung S2.

NBCCB fugging hell this asus padfone is really the worst nightmare ever. Uplorry again for no reason. Now vibrating nonstop, cannot switch off, cannot take out battery. Definitely not getting any asus phone again. Frustrating.

I have tried at least 4 shops but all rejected when they heard it's asus padfone 2. The only guy I got was taking in the padfone was just couple of ten bills above the trade in price. so yeah, it's a bummer.

Lesson learnt, next time get mainstream phone better.

I only know of 1 handphone shop in Burlington Sq and I called there before and it was 1 of the few shops I tried before. I deal with adix before and I thought he is all along selling accessories only? haha! Anyway, don't get me wrong. Asus padfone 2 is a good phone and all but it's just that when I want to change phone, I am not sure why so many places reject or go below trade in price. Sadness :(
