I just changed the ssd to 1tb, initially i thought clone disk will do the trick so that i wont have to start over the game installation, drivers etc. but only realized the original ssd has bitlocker encrypted. the cloned ssd wont boot up.

after some research i put back the original ssd, decrypt it and clone again, now it works

512GB really not enough, slowly i will think 1TB wont be enough as well
Then u sld wack the 2TB.

yeah, Bitlocker step is most annoying. I almost forgot that step too. Its a gaming handheld... don't think I need to be so strict with security. no personal info, games only.

I have been trying to find a solution to play Ally comfortably while lying on the Bed.
I tried lying side ways, lifting the ally up above my face.. both are tiring and uncomfortable
I even thought of getting an AR Glass with a small OLED screen but its too expensive.

So i found a solution, a Lazy Glass (90 degree glasses) that's like $10...
I can lie down all the way, place my ally on top of my belly and play.

*sorry for the crappy blur edit
Image through the glass is clear, there is no latency.

I also don't get any headache using this glass. I just played for hours.

I have achieved peak laziness, I am never waking up during weekends.

the thing is, if u dont decrypt the original ssd, u wont be able to access the file inside even if it's in a m.2 enclosure, u will need a key in order to access.

The problem is if you clone your ssd from day 1 (which I did OOTB), you won’t need to go through all this hassle. Plus u get to have the original ssd in “pristine condition” for future restoration or resale.

so it’s back to proper planning. 😁

ASUS ROG Ally Headphones out is impressive! Plenty of volume, able to drive 300 ohms headphones like my Sennheiser HD800s well. I had to push volume to 80 for a normal listening level when most iems and earpieces can easily be driven at 14 to 18 volume.

However, the Ally suffer from noise when volume is pushed that high and while it is charging. When nothing is playing through it's 3.5mm headphones jack, I could hear electronic noise through the headphones. It disappears when I reduce the volume below 50.

The 3.5mm headphones has good dynamics, punchy bass and clean treble... Only to be plagued by low noise floor. Ally could be a functional media player with good headphones.

I updated yesterday, seems like this broke the 30w turbo from the dock (using 100w charger).
