ASUS Transformer Prime

Guys,

I just bought a Transformer Prime at Newstead Technologies in Sim Lim Square Level 3 yesterday.

I bought a 32GB Gold colour unit, which could not charge and could not turn on the display. The shop tried another 3 NEW units, and ALL of them could not turn on the display and could not charge.

BUT the Amethyst colour unit I got from them in the end worked.

So I would suggest you open it up at the store, and try it on the ensure it works. Otherwise, you are in for a miserable time.

Bought the cable this afternoon n received a free pack consists of cleaning cloth, brush, pen, a cloth like mousepad quality (duuno wats tat?) , cleaning solvent and a strap (dunno izzit for prime, not yet test) ..

make sure power plug is clicked in properly.
charge for more than 1hr min.
then turn on.

Thanks! But I think the sellers were not at fault here. Asus should at least make minimal charge in the units, so that we can at least verify the units work.

Even for smartphones, they now cone with minimal charge when purchased new.

Whether battery is totally flat is still consider a faulty set

what i meant stupid sellers was they don't know their product at all, itz a common "mishap" for electronics.

also ASUS did not promise a 3/4 charge or 1/2 charge batt.

worst to worst it might really be a unfortunate "DEAD" device. but all 3 is kind of impossible...

BTW during the asus booth when i'm buying, the dumb eye candy lady offer her help and say 3.2 honeycomb is the latest...she can jolly well just act pretty and keep quiet doing her job properly...

Try South Asia Computers at Level 3 or Digital Asia at Level 4. Anyone knows where to buy the official sleeve or any cover for Prime? I went to every shops at Funan and non of them sell anything for Prime. Even Newstead got no clue, how about SLS?
