I'm talking about the hinge man. It is looser compared to the MacBook or the Lenovo 900 I tried. But putting that aside, do u know where to get the screen protector?

I didn't put on a screen protector. Why do you need one? It's not a touch screen laptop leh... do you touch the screen of your laptop often even if it doesn't have a touch screen?

I thinking of getting this laptop but I wish to get some feedback of the hinge. Does the hinge hold up for you?

When I try out the laptop at some of the store, the hinge seem to be a bit loose and will move itself by a bit. When opened, the lid cover will elevate the keyboard abit which made me wonder does it matter if i place the laptop on an uneven ground?

No problem when new. The hinge is sufficiently stiff. In fact, the hinge is built for one handed operation. You can lift the lid without moving the laptop. And that is how all laptop hinges should be built. I want to be able to open the lid using only one hand.

I think it is alright, although it is certainly not as tight as macbook or the lenovo 900. But then again some other laptops also have quite weak hinges. I just hope that it doesn't break.

Well my monitor at home is not touch screen too and it gets dirty with spots and dust

Sourcing for a note book, so come across this thread.
Looking at this ux305 and 303.
Both are the same price using i5 process.
I do know ux305 have 256Gb SSD disk and better graphic card with 1.3 kg weight.
And ux303.... 1TB Sara hhd with 1.45kg weight.

Other pro and con when deciding which to choose?
Which will be a better choice for a normal usage ?
Sorry to borrow this thread to make a comparison as i can't find ux303 thread.
Noob to choosing note book.
Thanks.

Looking at i5 processor, believe both ux303 and 305 are non touch screen.
Think only i7 ux303 is touch screen type.
Seem like caught in between the 256GB ssd verse 1TGB sata:s22: ..can't decided..lol:(

Would recommend SSD. Even for my PC, after I moved to SSD I never looked back. Too good, too fast! Storage wise, can simply get a ext. 1 TB HDD for around $75-85.
