Hi, I also intend to order one. Do you know if the warranty is international? The charger is universal right? Thanks.

hi there, i have just received mine from microsoftstore, it comes with 1 year of international warranty.

the charger that came with it is international, you just need to purchase a adapter to make it compatible with singapore household sockets.

Cannot blame those booth, sometimes investing too many laptops which cannot sell after the comex will affect their sales hence they will not invest too much. Hence people like us who wants to get a good buy often not get it.

Manage to assist my friends to get the UX305LA i7 ( during the comex)

The latest Core M processors are even better than the current one... so the best bet is to get the $999 offer for the last Core M specced laptop before all are sold out if you're after a cheap light and fast laptop. The newest Core M specced UX305 will start from $1298, but of course the RAM is now 8GB and the SSD 256 GB. Even so, it is pretty worthwhile. The new Core M processor seems quite a bit faster.

The newest UX305 with Core M processor is called the UX305CA. It comes with the latest Skylate processor - Core M-6Y54. Retails at RRP US$699. Probably more expensive in Singapore. I think HWZ updated the price as $1298.

Asus service is getting better except for waiting time for replacement same goes for other brands even Apple I had so many complain to Apple about ALab so far 7 to 8 times this few months. Dell and HP is also getting better. For warranty service.

What kind of job do you do that you're privy to the number of complaints made to the various brands' service centres???

its a supply and demand question.

these companies are not mom and pop shops, they are huge like courts/harvey norman/challenger and have huge warehouses and huge inventories. yet when they sold out at it fair, they cant bring more stock to replenish?

they have a supply issue which is either legit (no stock) or self induced (holding back stock)

they are not blind, they know which laptops at what price will generate the highest demand and correspondingly can order a larger number of these laptops.

and even if they over order, they can always use demand shaping (aka promotions) to increase demand for products that dont sell as well.

long story short: i blame the booths.

Bought from MS Store US about 3 weeks ago using POSB EveryDay Card. Used comgateway US ship to address as billing address. Went thru nicely. Shipped via 65daigou and received about 1.5 week ago. Daughter happily using it now.
