For warranty, few threads above mentioned that MH will help to send back the phone to Taiwan if there's any issues, so if this is true then it's not so bad.

why don't you ask MH on this? :s13:
usually such export set just allocated one month shop warranty.

Is it MHW the only shop that will arrange the phone to be sent back to Taiwan if there's issue within the warranty period? I'm contemplating this phone and mi 13u, I know they are both a very different phone, currently using Pixel 5 so I'm not sure if I still want to go with the same size phone. I used the Pixel 7p before and like the camera so the camera quality is quite important for me, how is ZF10 camera fare? Thanks.
I'm not sure, better to check with MH direct. I went for the Zenfone 10 because I wanted something compact crammed with the latest hardware. Camera wise, pretty good when comparing with the Pixel Fold cams. Battery life is fantastic. Even better than the S23U I had previously. As for no local warranty, I'm not too bothered by it. Something unique other than brands like apple and Samsung. So far, very happy with the Zenfone 10. No issues whatsoever. Volte, 5G, all works as it should a local set does.

Not a fan of the brand Asus but the Zenfone 10 really takes the crown in my tech journey for 2023. The Zenfone 9 was good for me in 2022 as well.

I would say the Zenfone 10 is my best buy in 2023 currently. Reasonable price, official global rom, great battery life, good cameras, compact and has the latest hardware. The twin app supports more apps than brands like Samsung. All in 1 phone.

Any of you find the 8gb RAM is a bit low? Will the app keep closing due to it? Thanks.

nah.. depends on optimization.. iphone has been having 4gb ram only for the longest time but yet they can keep more apps in memory than android phones with 12gb ram..

There was one issue which was why I offloaded it rather quickly. The screen protector with black edges will block out the light sensor so when you are on a call, the screen does not turn off when you put the phone to your face. I thought it was a design issue. But I later found out its due to the placement of the screen protector.

Using the phone in real world conditions I don't encounter any issues with the 8gb ram but I don't game. So not sure if you do gaming, the 8gb sufficient anot

Thank you guys. Another question is I found that gsmarena review statement on the camera:

why, did Asus choose an ultrawide module without AF this year, when the Zenfone 9's unit had that capability?

This new ultrawide camera employs an OmniVision OV13B sensor - a 13MP imager with a 1/3.06" optical format, 1.12µm pixels, and a conventional Bayer filter array. OmniVision's specsheet says the sensor itself does have PDAF capability, but that's apparently not being used in the Zenfone 10's implementation. What was so wrong with the Zenfone 9's ultrawide?

Also gone is the AF on the selfie camera, a new 32MP one replacing the 12MP unit from the previous generation. The sensor here is an RGBW design, or what OmniVision calls RGBC - that's Red, Green, Blue, and Clear pixels, for improved light gathering capability. It's also, in a way, a 4-cell type of sensor (Quad Bayer in Sony speak), and it bins the information from 4 adjacent pixels and outputs 8MP resulting images.

Is it true that there's no AF on the front camera and rear ultrawide camera? So far I didn't see any YT reviewer mention about it.

I remember seeing one YouTuber mention that the Zenfone 10 can't do macro shots, whereas the Zenfone 9 can. Will put the link here if I manage to find it.

I think 8GB is sufficient for most heavy users, even when they are gaming. Android games had been built to be very efficient, using much less RAM compared to PC counterparts.

I'm don't notice difference when taking photos on the Zenfone 9 and 10. Both feels very similiar. The Zenfone 10 does takes alot nicer photos compared to the Zenfone 9. The Zenfone 9 takes quite lousy photos......
