No. Move on to other brands. I wish I can drop and crack my screen until unresponsive so I can finally enjoy Marshmallow 6.0 on another phone.

Good news! Zenfone 2 Laser ZE500KL has FINALLY gotten Android Marshmallow update!

Bad news! It's 6.0 and not 6.0.1. Don't expect anymore future updates.

With the amount of issues they're having with just the Laser update, I don't think ZE551ML will be updated anytime soon within this month.

Moral of the story. Time to get a new phone. And no, not the Zenfone 3.

Apparently they've forgotten that Zenfone 2 ZE551ML is their FLAGSHIP device. Really disappointed in Asus.

Zenfone 2 ZE551ML was their FLAGSHIP device. so far this phone is still serving me very well less the poor battery life. but thankfully there is quick charge.

It STILL is until Zenfone 3 launches. People don't buy a flagship device to not receive any software support. If that's the case, I might as well buy a mediocre Laser instead of a powerful Deluxe.

Hell even the entry Zenfone Go is on 5.1.1 but Zenfone 2 is on 5.0. Really dunno what they're doing.

to my least expectation, my cheapo zenpad 8 (not the higher end zenpad s 8) received the marshmallow update yesterday!!??

this is not a complaint but find it strange that unlike other big names like samsung, htc & etc. major OS upgrade is a privilege, usually, and almost entirely reserved for their flagship devices. somehow asus doesn't give a damn to this unwritten rule. :s13::s13::s13:

(sidetrack: i still have a fully functional samsung tab pro 8.4. it was their prev mid-range tablet. below that of the tab s but better than their tab 3 or 4 series. throughout the last 2 years, the slate only received 1 minor update from samsung. so much for being a 2nd class or a half blood. )
