I inititally thought the Anker PowerIQ technology can charge like the QC2.0 that Samsung offers.

But i was wrong. It charges the same as a normal charger. :s8:

I pluck in and out with the Anker side by side a normal wall socket adapter and there's no difference in the charging time.

For QC2.0 u can see a "+" logo about 5seconds after plugging in. that's truly fast and the real deal.
Ya I thought too. Is it because this model don't have qualcomm power management IC like ip6 or others like Samsung, or the product doesn't support the phone (Asus phones not in the anker lists of products on their website) ?
The anker I got from qoo10 definitely is original with local warranty cos I checked with anker support that they're one of the authorised seller. It also charges Ipad etc fast.

If it is LOCAL set and ze551ml/4gb, then it's a good price. However, how many q points are you using? Cos if you are using 1000 points then the BEST price should be lower...

Thanks!

Aiming a 1-year Asus warranty set selling at $382. Currently I have 1000 points and a free $50 voucher from SG50 promo recently. Lastly minus off frank card 6%, the final price is around $302ish.

Welcome:)

oh... this listing? http://list.qoo10.sg/g/426622200/Q100094835

Question : do you have a lot of q stamps? like more than 30? cos if you have then go here, swap 30 q stamps for a $10 item coupon. Apply the $10 item voucher before you add the item to cart... you can get $10 more off.

http://www.qoo10.sg/gmkt.inc/Event/...&flowpath_page_value=1144&__da_seqno=65942880

if you don't have q stamps. Go http://www.qoo10.sg/sg50 , click on the get coupon pack, use the $8 item coupon to get $8 more off.

stock ran out across different shop in qoo10 overnight. Suspect something is up...

haha... maybe pp see my "tutorial" overnight all rushed to buy cos really good price with the vouchers and today is the last day LOL. I recall spending like $370 from qoo10 just 3 months back and that's with like $20 coupons used.

anyway... still got one shop which has stock. Can't use the item voucher but still can use the $50 cart. Don't think too much already, just buy if you like the phone... else wait for next good phone to come out.

This also means ASUS firmware has lots of critical bugs making them to release it quickly.

frequent os update means not great leh. :s22:

so no update means no bugs??? the thinking is so naive :s22::s11:

all commercial software (phone or otherise) have bugs. it is whether these providers put in their best effort to give users a better experience.

also, software updates are not solely on problem solving. there is also code optimization that further enhances user experience.

it is wrong to say samsung, htc & the rest have no software updates. they do but it is usually limited to their top tier devices. this explains why many mid & low range phones turn to alternatives like CM.

if you go to play store and check all asus inhouse apps like asus keyboard/email/supernote/weather & whatnots (which i never use any of them), they literary took the time to reply to some of the feedback. you can hardly see the same on samsung apps.

at the end of the day, i like how they conduct their phone business. kudos.

I say "critical" bug !! Usually if it is not critical, manufacturer will group a few till a major release. 4 days with 3 release means code quality is not there. Not enough user acceptance test !!

I think the issue here is update is good but has to be optimal. Too many critical updates too many indicates that the developer did not through testing before releasing.

Zenfone 2's update is bit too frequent for my liking... makes me feel like asking for users' rebate from them cos they are treating me like beta tester LOL.

But then better than some brands got critical bugs reported still take sweet time to resolve it :o:o:o

which phones have 3 new fw releases in 4 days? you're not talking about zf2 right? at least, i don't see mine in similar plight.

i am speaking about critical bugs too. if there are indeed a few critical bugs, and they found the resolution to only one, let's roll out the update to solve that one problem. or do you prefer to wait 6 months for a cure-all update?

it is critical bugs that need to be addressed there and then. minor problems can be rectified collectively.

Just be glad there are even updates guys.
Not like some other current flag ships which have no updates yet and doesn't seem to have any anytime soon.

From bad to worse software update.

Software Version : WW_2.20.40.58
After update, occasionally SIM card not found.

Software Version : WW_2.20.40.59
After update, cannot call out must switch to 3G.

Occasionally SIM card not found, must always check phone for "SIM card not found" as notification is silence.

Looks like customer doing the testing.......
Will never buy another ASUS brand.
