seems like a very promising phone (4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage + microSD).

Asus to launch ZenFone 2 with Snapdragon chip under Rs 10,000
Neeraj Saxena, TOI Tech | Apr 23, 2015, 06.59PM IST
NEW DELHI: Asus will launch a cheaper variant of its latest ZenFone2 smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset within next 4-5 months.
According to Asus president and CEO Jerry Shen, the company does not plan to launch the next generation ZenFone smartphone before 2016, but a non-Intel processor powered version will be launched for under Rs 10,000 around July-August.
Though he did not specify the processor Asus is testing, it is likely to be Snapdragon 410 chip that is being used in Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G, Lenovo A6000 and Xiaomi Redmi 2.
The Taiwanese IT major launched the dual-sim ZenFone 2 in India on Thursday in four variants, all running on Intel (Atom Z3560 and Z3580) processors. One of the model sports 4GB dual-channel RAM, a global first in any phone. The entry-level model that sports 2GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage is priced at Rs 12,999.
Battery life isn't spectacular but I'm able to get a full day's use, though I'm not a heavy user. It's not as good as my wife's OnePlus One, but much better than my 1+ year old Nexus 5.
Hopefully things can improve with Lollipop updates.Battery life isn't spectacular but I'm able to get a full day's use, though I'm not a heavy user. It's not as good as my wife's OnePlus One, but much better than my 1+ year old Nexus 5.

Yup, hopefully. As my video review mentioned, Battery Stats indicates that the Android OS is often the main culprit in terms of battery usage. Android 5.0 has a battery draining issue/bug that was alleviated with Android 5.1.
On the plus side, I did not notice the other major Android 5.0 bug on the Zenfone 2, which is the memory leak issue.
