Gotten my 4G/32GB, Silver only since last Tuesday (through special connection). Feel fast. Was using LG G pro2.
Envy...the "fast" speed is v useful when u lasy to hibernate apps.
need to add u to "special connection"

is Kopi_si trolling us? lol...

Zen Ui on ZenFone 2 is the best oem launcher till date. not the most beautiful but allows you to customise quite a far bit. no lag or what so ever encountered. this is the best ASUS experience for me...

need to give S6 lollipop touchwiz a shout-out though, its also amazing but missing lots of good features found previously which is weird or just rushed...

one bad thing is that the phone only supports 3 led colors, red (low batt), orange (charging) and green (fully charged). I'm not able to get any other color than green to work for message notifications
on my galaxy s5 in whatsapp I used to configure white for individual messages and green for group messages, now I only have green for all types of messages as no other LED colors seem to work (orange and red do work when charging/low batt though)

cut cost, this phone is mid range budget, no backlit buttons also...

the time when im using padfone, Zen UI was terrible, wonder if there is a monumental improvement in the current Zenfone.

If you can elaborate in what way you thought ZenUI was terrible on the Padfone, I can see if it's still a problem on the ZF2.

why cut cost on those minor things, im sure the cost of LED would have been less than 10c difference for the full light range
backlighting for keys i can understans

On the flipside, it's not that big of a deal once one gets used to the button positions.

Somethings got to go because of the budget, so this is the one that gets the chop.

Bloatware on all Android phones are annoying and this one is no different! Someone ought to come up with a phone with as little bloatware as possible, I will pay a premium!

My company has some working relationship. They were offered to my company staff at a slightly reduced price from the recommended $429. However no color selection accept silver-gray.

As a casual user where I don't turn always data and wifi (on when necessary), battery can last me 3 days with some ebook reading (about 1:30 hrs) on the train and fm radio.

Root, and greenify/freeze bloatware. Rooting is quite easy, just need to flash an image through fastboot

Same issue with previous pb...their idea was not to snatch the limelight or glare user with lights...guess too dim.
1. Add some small sticker to guide
2. Install softkey apps..(screen will hv more buttons etc)

Think the 10 cents add up if it's true that asus will sell 20 mil of these phones.
