ASUS Zenfone 2

got a bit of a dilemma here leh guys.

I can buy a 2nd hand Galaxy S5 32GB for $400. but should I utilise that amount to buy the Z2551ML (32GB/2GB RAM) for arond $300+ instead?

If you do not need a dual sim phone capability, then i say stick with the S5 option. Camera is better, and batt life is very much longer.

I'm staying out of atom-base processors.

yeah S5 is very "tried and tested"... dunno to trust Atom Intel SoCs also Qualcomm is pretty solid except the S810.

Saw the AndroidAuthority review and the guy said Zenfone 2 camera in low light is damn bad, and has the exposure/dynamic range problem like HTC guess no good deal for me liao haha

The worse offender is the snapdragon 810. In a bid to keep its cool. It had to throttle down its performance. Can read about it at arstechnica. The atoms are comparatively cooler. Even laptop built with the latest bay trail architect can be passively cooled (i.e. no fans). Never had heating issue with my ZE551ML so far.

You are right. Already has many bad report on 810 including those from HTC.

Go to file explorer, long press the file name then select delete option.

Choppy Music Playback

Hi guys, recently bought the ZE551ML 2g/32gb variant.

Updated to the newest firmware from asus. However when playing music on earphones, i get intermittent pauses here and there, i.e when i unlock the device, work on other apps etc. In general, just choppy music playback on both the Asus Music App and Google Play Music.

Wonder if anyone else experience the same?

Pure stock device here.

only SD810 got this problem. so far other snapdragons doesn't have heat problems.

my phone gets hot after a call at the earpiece.

yes, it's one of the bugs in zen os.. hope asus will release a fix.
