1) root your phone
2) delete apps from the system/app and priv-apps folder.

disclaimer: you must know what to delete, or else you'll bootloop.

able to enlighten us nobbies a little on what you deleted? maybe not everything if you can't remember... just a few prominent examples? :)

See below....

Yes, if your fingers itchy and you have the spare cash, why not? Just go to Burlington and ask around for better price. I ahve a fully functional LG G Pro 2 but bought the ZF2 before it offers speed (and 4GB RAM!:D ) at a very, very good price. Spec-wise, no other sub 400SGD phone (brand new ones) can even come close.
If buy because hand itchy, would have gotten the padfone s 2 months ago at 279, which I feel is comparable to zf2 right?

Though I am really very tempted.

I also have the same idea but the bad reviews are too biased so you can check out my review. I am a Samsung,iPhone,HTC user. This zenfone2 4gb didn't upset me

Same here. From S3. Using 4gb/32GB now. No complaints except cannot sync calendar without Outlook on PC like Kies3 did.

you have to understand you cannot OTA after you do this.

this is an experiment for me also. i'm prepared to reflash my phone if anything goes wrong.

for 400+ its an awesome device, for me only let down is no light in the capacitive buttons !!
Screen on-time is not great considering 3000mAh battery but Asus is aware of this and probably will be fixed.

m using Nexus 6 and till date only tested premium devices, but this budget phone really surprised me. To all potential buyers forget about reviews and grab this :)

Yeah. Also the design of the buttons look very jelly bean-ish. Also since it's is white also, it's very obvious, kinda ruin the look of the front for me. If they want to skim on the back lit keys, might as well just do on-screen buttons if you ask me. Though after some use, you get familiar with the position of the button. now use at night i also don't need to search for the buttons. naturally know where to press.

screen on-time for me isn't good as well. standby drain is quite high too. the phone kept waking up even while i was sleeping for some reason (shown in the battery use graph). I already disabled apps that don't need to auto-start. I can get higher screen-on time on the S6 with just 2550 mAh. so hope Asus can fix it fast.

DAT performance though! the 4GB RAM is sibeh snappy. The UI design is subjective, but the performance is really good, and animations are fast too. Switching between multiple apps is fantastic too, since it has a bigger RAM, don't have to keep re-loading apps. Seriously impressed with the performance. And this is coming from someone who has used a lot of devices. :s13:
