I also suffer from this M1 unable to make phone call thing. Is there no solution to this? Sigh feel like selling away this phone.
Singtel user here, dont have that M1 issue. However it is indeed true that zenfone2 doesnt support VoLTE. My phone does switch from 4g to 3g/H+ when making calls.
If that's true, then the last few posts on this thread is useless. Haha, people all fussing over nothing.
that is probably because they're on M1. i think so far only M1 users reported to have been facing that issue. starhub and singtel users are generally okay from it i guess.
so it is a big turn off for M1 users to use zenfone2.

Honestly, this whole M1 issue sounds stupid to me.
Isnt there a network option to change to GSM/LTE? It's not in the settings menu, more the settings only accessible via dialer. I always use *#*#4636#*#*, maybe someone having the issue can give it a try.
When you are on 4G plan. You do expact Voice on LTE to work if the phone and telco do support it. Otherwise, go and buy a 3G phone.
I've a 4g phone, an HTC One M8, i'm on M1 under their Sunsurf plan.
I don't get VoLTE, it doesn't affect me as much as it should be.
Whoever said M1 supported VoLTE on the Zenfone 2?
Because if i'm not wrong, software plays an important part.
So perhaps it'd be more wise to write in to Asus and ask for a software patch regarding the issue you're facing.
And not just completely forsake the phone and tell all m1 users no to get it because you cant use VoLTE..
Lol.
Someone on this thread already call in asus about this before 2-3 update before.I've a 4g phone, an HTC One M8, i'm on M1 under their Sunsurf plan.

It all depend on if the maker or M1 will finally fix it. So to be on the safe side, if you are expecting VoLTE to work (or yet to confirm), and you have not purchase it. It will be good to hold on to the purchase.
Sometime, is not all that smooth process to get the maker to fix it. Not all maker listen to customer, and they may have other issues to fix before coming to you. So not to get it may be the best choice since there is many other model or brand to pick.

Asus say the next update wil solve this issue but look like it didn't.

Another M1 users. I have no issues too.Nope. M1 user, NEVER had a problem since day 1. Other than the battery life (but i can live with it), very good phone IMHO.
