Urm guys, I hate to say this but in consideration of the lack of participants for this proposed ATH meet, and also i happen to have some last-min events to attend this coming Fri, i may have to postpone this gathering till further notice. Since i count here count there, there are only 4 ppl joining us apart frm Randius and me as organisers, it seems like given this kind of headcount/strength my evil side says that he does not feel motivated enough to lug so many stuffs just to feed 4 pairs of ears. Randius also honestly hasn't been lending me alot of support or giving his input or opinions on this thread, so tbh I'm not exactly sure if he's even interested in the first place.

Randius, don't take it the wrong way though. Do understand that u were in the midst of yr ICT period when I proposed the meet. Anyway i'm a poor organiser too so hopefully in future if we ever have a meet agn, I would really hope to see more inputs/suggestions from you. Take care everyone and advance Chinese New Year to all!

@g3n3tic_twig Think you may try contacting forum member LongBigBronzeElephantFish, think he mentioned a couple pgs back on this thread he won the ATH-WM77 thru a lucky draw or something, so he's not opening his set and putting it up for sale. After owning the ESW9 and EW9, selling them and just recently, getting the EW9 back again, Audio Technica is now becoming my favorite headphone brand and I started collecting more and more of them. I hope this thread will soon grow over time with info and opinions from people who actually own the headphone/IEMs and be references to others who may be interested in AT gears

Hi. I'm very impressive your gear You look like a ATH fanboy like me. I come from ATH Asia facebook's fanpage, they suggest me this thread.
I just looking a portable DAC/Amp for my ATH headphones and I'm consider AT-HA26. Could you give me some impression of this ? Currently I've own ATH M50/AD700/AD900/AD2000/ESW10JPN/W5000.
My top favourite cans is AD2000 but cann't found best DAC/Amp for this. The best amp I've tried for it are Sansui R11 (very sweet mid but lost detail and too much muddy), AMB M3 DIY (nice detail but midrange too thin for me)

Hope to find any suggestion. Thanks

@kusanagivn: Saw your post on the FB page... Welcome to the club Just to clarify, the AT-HA26D isn't a portable DAC/AMP but a desktop one. Their portable headphone AMPs is AT-PHAxx. They also have some bluetooth receivers with AMPs as secondary function (bro Haonan did write about this few pages back). Personally I've only used the JDSLabs O2+ODAC with my ES10. Haven't got time to try it with alot of other AMPs/DACs :X

I know HA26D is a "small" desk amp. But i only hear music at office then it's fine. I looking a best DAC with amp function. Then i can use the DAC for my desktop rig (my PC and ipod docks transport ) or take it to my office (my laptop have s/pdif support). oDAC+O2 sound be nice, i hear many good I hear many recommend for this but it's poor input/output and i like ATH product much more

I was caught up with ICT and following that, have to clear off the pile of work built up. Frankly speaking, the meet was the last thing on my mind back then. With the work tamed and CNY coming, I will think about how to organize the meet. After reading the huge success of the Taiwan AT meet organized by Azureimf, I am hoping we will one day reach that level

Yeah, no prob bro. Do understand all of us have our own workload and NS obligations to worry abt, I'm also a true-blue Singaporean like u that's why I do understand abt the hassles and problems that comes during our ICT periods, so yup don't worry abt it. Hopefully there will be a chance for us to come tgt and organise a meet properly agn, when all of us are more free with our schedule.

I got HA26D today. Nice pair with AD2000/ESW10jpn but unlucky with W5000. Maybe my next headamp Yamamoto HA02 can beat it ... I'll report in last month, still waiting for building

I have a huge headache to find headamp for my favourite cans AD2000. HA26D use AK4396 for DAC like my old soundcard SQ210a+ then i'm wondering it make my sound dry and much more attack but now i have a good signal. Currently don't have optical cable, then i use RCA from my soundcard Onkyo SE200. My first impression bass quality, treble, detail improve very well and mid-range still sweet. Hope optical output better like this
