Hi, anyone know how to configure 7002 as access point? I've disabled DHCP in 7002 and connected to the lan port from my main router n66u but still no avail. I'm able to get IP from 7002 but not able to access internet and it's a intermittent issues.

Are u sure it is 7002?
Actually, if sign 200Mbps should go for M1 as they are cheaper same same like $29/mth with AC router. Singtel 200Mbps cost more and no AC router. If want to sign Singtel at least 300M and above to get Aztech AC router. Singtel 300M is same same price as M1 and also AC router. Sometime must do research before signing up.

yeah, didn't do any research before subscribing. I chose singtel's due to having the bundle, so no choice.

bro, so do I still get an AC router?

I'm the same situation as you. My desktop PC is one room/wall away from the modem and I bought a cheap $21 USB adapter. But wireless internet speed is so low and almost impossible to access USA server (the second result, 234ms ping and 5.70Mbps download speed). Joining you in finding a better solution. No where near the 200Mbps speed I paid for.

200 Mbps s local speed not international. Can get 35 mbps not bad already as M1 gamepro is about there. Dun worship the 7002 like it's a AC route. Henry Ng thinks all the same but this is my Asus 5 GHz from New York. Good ping good speed.

I envy you so much. I'm only getting less than 10Mbps on wireless to U.S. sites. SingTel Fibre 200Mbps and Pace 5012NV router.

It is a default if you get the 7002 all 7002 users get this speed

P.S this is on the 2.4ghz on 5ghz it is faster

There is obviously something wrong with the speedtest server or test process but this is outside the tester control.

Noboby, nobody can get a 0ms ping to NY and back. Remember ping is 2 way, to and fro.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ping_(networking_utility)

The speed of 70.55 Mbps to NY server is, therefore, not accurate, not reliable.

I am not too concern on the numbers. As long as the Asus is faster then the Aztech and it has one of the highest throughput, I get what I paid for.

Mine was via singtel utilites Ping:178ms

Btw, the asus router has a fair competition with aztech, as its wireless 'n' speed is 200mbps+ on the 5ghz channel(same room as 5ghz is not strong enough to pass through walls)[Aztech 7002]. Where as with an ac router from ASus, you get moderate speeds on ac, and as most devices are on wireless 'n' as of now, there is no use of wireless ac unless you own a note 3 or a LG G2...... Or a macbook air ... Or any other new model(computer /phone) released in the second half of this year

I will be surprise if Aztech throughput can match the Asus. I am using the N66U and 5 GHz is better that average. To help me get through 2 walls I tried out this cheap and good Edimax AC adapter. Will get the AC router if the drivers are a bit more stable. AC not totally useless. Asus AIO desktop already using AC wireless card so one can use card or usb adaptor.
