Baht exchange rate

Just back from BKK. Exchange rate at UOB BKK is @ $23.50 . As for other local back in BKK, rating from $23.31 to $23.41 as of 3/1/10.

As what y halth mentioned. That $ changer offer quite a good rates.

I changed at 23.75 at one of the money changer near citin. seem like it is offering the best rate...

just change my baht yesterday at suntec fountain exchange at 23.6 guess thats the best rates...

hmm, do you guys actually change a lot of baht?
because if you think about it, these miniscule differences in exchange rates don't matter much.

e.g. 23.30 compared to 23.60.

if you change $100, it's only a 30 baht difference. can just barely buy you a meal at the roadside in thailand. and you're likely to get a rate somewhere in between anyway, i.e. 23.45 or something.

bro if its 200 or 300 (which i think most people will change at least 300 to 500 baht) it will make a significant difference ie 60 to 100 baht which can buy u a meal.

True difference could come out to a meal - what kind of meal depends on how much money is exchanged. Thing to note is that the rates are dynamic and at times by the time you travel down the money change could be out of notes or the rates would have moved. Also if you travel to another part of town if you factor in the time and transport money the difference would be much less.

usually ppl change alot...

caus if you made the effort to go eg, chinatown or suntec, shld be helping family members change the cash also de mah.

the difference in 23.30 or 23.60 could well mean 300 baht or 400 baht difference which could definitely buy you a meal in BKK.

I always go Chinatown the one beside the Durian pancake store to change, always got Q one...

gd rates too
