Really surprised they did not introduce the character Martian Manhunter. Thought he was one of the popular character in DC.

Dunno abt this cyborg, never heard of him b4. :o

Martian Manhunter too complicated to introduce, for non cartoon/comic book people.

already need to explain cyborg origins in the JL movie.

they are counting that you already know about flash, aquaman.

The JL movie might be a mess if they just dump all these characters in without building them up first.

flash 1 movie

aquaman 1 movie

cyborg movie.

They lagging behind Marvel too much, so want to catch the train before audiences suffer superhero fatigue.

Thats precisely why i say they shouldn't have doomsday or lex luthor in this movie at all, and go make a standalone superman v doomsday/lex luthor instead. Write doomsday and lex luthor out from this movie, remove the ** knightmare scene, remove the useless johnathon kent scene, then you got more than sufficient space for them to explore that aspect liao.

I cant say the opening scene is enough. they didnt talk about these to each other at all from the superman/batman perspective. Arguing about their different ideologies can also be seen as a "fight" figuratively speaking. can also show audience how both of them feel and respond when face with such ideology etc. can show more of their inner thoughts, emotions etc. superman told batman not to go to the bat signal, yet batman never question why. I think the writers of the movie know if say superman wanna fight batman because of the batman branding, is quite weak, so they use martha kent to give superman a stronger motivation to fight batman

Ppl say DC movie have to think and very deep, say marvel very shallow and just fight. But i think batman v superman like also no different. They make audience think not because it is though provoking, but because it is confusing one.

The one big issue you have seem to cloak itself around creative paragons which is a big no for the liberal mindset of creating an enjoyable movie for the target audience. The whole idea is always subjective. You can't make a movie that pleases everyone. You remove those there'll be nothing left to keep the audience interested. It worked with the BO success behind it despite its flaws its good enough. The movie is by no means perfect, it has its many flaws but you should stop shoehorning your preferences or what you think might make it a better movie. Go work for DC if you think your ideas are better.

I think DC is trying to be different and I openly embrace the diversity of both franchises instead of choosing to behave like a flaccid unoriginal Marvel drone. They don't set the standard. BvS is by no means great but not as terrible as you think. The movie is really bold and interesting in a particular way and not a predictable cheap-fest like the marvel Avenger movies. :s13:

Seriously guys go watch this movie.

When you read between the lines it is actually quite thought provoking unlike the typical shallow action movie that is just comedy and action.

I review the movie and give it 8.5 out of 10

See my full review here

no need to read between the lines. Synder throws one concept after another, then never bothers to develop for follow thru. Then he moves on to something else. This movie feels more like a TV pilot, but it is incomplete for a movie

Deleted scene from batman vs superman.

this is when the SWAT team went in to the kryptonian ship to apprehend Lex Luthor.

figure is most likely either Steppenwolf or Yuga Khan, both from apokolips and close ties with Darkseid

superman 1 movie (no movies planned after MoS)

batman 1 movie (don't think anyone wanna sit through another non-Nolan Batman movie so soon)

wonder woman 1 movie (not well known enough)

flash 1 movie (got tv series already)

aquaman 1 movie (Namor!? not well known enough)

cyborg movie. (teen titans? not well known enough)

then justice league movie

they too rushed. cramp everything into BVS.

i dun agree with this settings:s13:

but all i can say is DC has got themselves to blame by going the opposite route. Dark Knight trilogy. and then reboot Batman. Superman returns. and then reboot Superman. Flash TV series, Arrow TV series, Gotham TV series: are they even related to DCEU (doubt so)?

I think its more of the movie quality fault rather than people's taste. I dont see why you will want to use the BO of this movie to justify things too since its still too early. It has strong day one (when nobody know the movie quality yet), then it suffer the largest day 2 and 3 collapse in the US according to forbes, most probably due to bad words of mouth

The movie has yet to break even too.

I will like to embrace the diversity from DC, but that doesnt mean giving free passes to junk movies. Want to be different? Can go ahead, but at least make sure it is good lah. Deadpool is a huge success. Many people also praise nolan's batman movies. Day of Future Past and First class are also generally consider good.
