That surmise a tentpole failure to you? What is considered success then? This is only the second movie in the DCEU. Wait for the final cume. You don't expect DC to be on par with Marvel overnight. The latter took years to build up the hype surrounding Avengers inherently having a marketing advantage.

Got reports say they need $800 million just to break even for this movie, and under $1billion worldwide will be a disappointment.
