kinda surprised beijing tio. normally its places like guizhou or zhengzhou that got shunt the excess water for dams. yes they dam water during droughts and release during monsoon........

The heavy downpour recently just outside Beijing break their century records.The few days rainfall is equivalent to one whole yr of their rainfall.Rivers,dams all cannot cope.

If not wrong, think there summer heavy rain like not uncommon. They got so many mountains ranges that brings down rain.
