dats due to the power of censorship. u c taiwan typhoon disaster so many medias reporting non-stop different angles people criticising gov crying in distress 2 deaths. this one state media reported 30 deaths public dont even came from where
Think see the way they report, they seems to gross over the death and injuries like they are numbers. They don't focus on it. No way to really know how many and serious the people are impacted. Just show all the property damages.

The bridges like not sturdy enough. So many got flushed away. The dams also seems to make situation worse when overwhelmed with water, as they have to release even more water in very short time to save the dams. :s22:
From Dam to Damn. It's unfortunate in response to overcapacity and potential cracks, China may release water from reservoir causing the abrupt surge overwhelmed flood-stricken regions, leaving little room for recovery in time.

The Dams are their pride so many can’t accept any shortcomings

heng in sg, no one got angry with us when we criticized the remark over ā€œover-maintenanceā€

The most recent flood in china southen area, deployed drones that have very long flight time to relay mobile connection. The electric supplier companies restored electricity within days.

While taiwan southern towns until now still no mobile connection and electricity. taiwan claims to have the mobile connection relay drones too.

The heartbreaking toll from the flash flood that swept through the Hill Country of Texas early morning on July 4 has reached 138, including 27 from Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp for schoolgirls with nearly a century of operations along and near the Guadalupe River. Two additional people from Camp Mystic remain missing, in addition to Fire Chief Michael Phillips of Travis County, who was swept away during a rescue attempt on July 5. This makes the probable death toll 138
