as the topic above.

what is the best 1mil term plan in the market now?

aviva for NSmen?

i know "best" is subjective, so maybe you can tell why you chose your particular 1mil term plan instead of others.

best 1mil cover should be Aviva My protector level plus.. currently got promo, 20% perpetual (lifetime) discount for 1mil sum insured and above. Applies to riders as well. Riders don't have at be 1mil sum insured. 100K or 50K also can!

if you have 2x term covering 1mil each, both 1mil on each policy will be paid out.

However, when you purchase the insurance, there is something called financial underwriting to determine if you need 2mil coverage. If no, then you insurance company will decline to insure you.

The only thing that you cant double claim is where the claims are on reimbursement basis like medical plans.

Plans like PA, health plans cannot be double claimed.

Entry age at 42,
Aviva Saf 1-mil at $1280. Hope to get the rebate for the first time this year.
Zurich 1-mil at around $2246.

Bad memory earlier. Is Zurich rather than AXA.

wow.cool.. i looked around the website. the 20%promo was apr15.

The Promotion is valid for applications signed from 1 April 2015 to 31 March 2016 (both dates inclusive). Policy must be issued by 30 June 2016 - See more at: https://www.aviva.com.sg/life-and-h...pril-2015-promotion.html#sthash.l9afBhpm.dpuf

Hmm, I read clause no.4 and no.6

4. For customers who are purchasing a 5 year or 10 year renewable term, this Promotion shall be a one-off discount over their intended term (5-year or 10-year). Upon the renewal of their policy, this Promotion will no longer be valid. Premiums payable for renewal will be based on the prevailing premium rates at time of renewal.

6. Discount is applicable to the end of premium payment term and will apply on new business as well as all subsequent renewal premiums.

So renewal has discount or no discount after 10 year? Isn't this available to age 99?

How to find out the prices for Aviva? Is there a quote generator or must use their contact form and wait for their agents to contact us?

thats where they kinda lost me.. there was a page somewhere , where i tried to generate the premium, but i could only select up to 400k term plan.
and the premium didnt reflect the 20% discount.

i think their website not very user friendly. i emailed them, waiting for the CSO to contact me..

if you buy a the term plan that covers till (example) age 65, 85 or 99. the discount applies all the way.

What you are reading there is for the 5 year or 10 year renewal term. means every 5 or 10 years, you can choose to continue your coverage for another 5 or 10 years. If you renew, new premium rates will be charged at the renew age.

i see, probably cost effective to buy the term till 85 then! to lock in the 20% disc
hopefully the premium is payable annually , and not lump sum!
