Took like 4 taxis all went by meter. Pink, Green, Orange all okay. The only exception was my taxi to airport at 400 baht.

Got guy in the group still ok. Plus u can speak their language.

I encounter before join those one day tour. The driver supposed to drop us at hotel but halfway tell us alight as jam. Luckily not far from hotel and we know the way back.

some times the taxi would do the same too when its near the location they will ask if you would like to alight earlier and walk instead.

even if you queue up at shopping mall, such as siam paragon ...
you will still encountered ppl who, after you close the cab door, on the way to drive out to the main road, they off the meter, and tell you 200b ...

Happened to me on a Tuk Tuk.
Told Tuk Tuk to drive me to Union Mall.
He drive me around 1 big round, from Platinum Mall drive me to Central World. Then say reach already. I told him dont ******** me, show him the map and he started driving again. Drive round round then his tuk tuk accidentally hit a van, tuk tuk and van person started quarreling. I just pass the Tuk Tuk Driver 20baht and got off.

He drive me around 1 big round, from Platinum Mall drive me to Central World. Then say reach already. I told him dont ******** me, show him the map and he started driving again. Drive round round then his tuk tuk accidentally hit a van, tuk tuk and van person started quarreling. I just pass the Tuk Tuk Driver 20baht and got off.

In the end waste 30mins drive me round round round, wanted to drop me at Central World, i reject him and demanded to go my destination, he drive abit then kena accident liao. So in the end i was like maybe 1km away from where i started, and paid 20baht to him.

yeah that's why early i posted it take lesser then 150 baht from town to my house.

Yes. Add also 50 Baht for airport charge. Tell the driver also not to use highway if you come in during non peak hours.

the last time i went to bkk taxi. use the auto ticking for taxi queue. if from airport to hotel in town anything more then 400 baht you can count as you tio jiak already

The Thai authority is serious on cracking down on errant cab drivers - those who want fixed fare, wont take you to your destination etc.

For me, if the place I want to go to is far, I would take the BTS/MRT to the nearest station then take a cab or a motosai. Cabbies dont want to go far as they fear being stuck in traffic and/or they are not familiar with the area u want to go.

Yes, it is not a fair system but fares are still very affordable.

yup lo... to pratunam is abt 300 to 400 ..
took before to sukhuvmit, the meter is abt 280 ... the plus the 50airport charges, is abt 330b

think hard to manage... coz most cab drivers simply wont go by meter ...

would b staying at riverside... super far ... think by meter is expensive.
think will just book back cab at 600b.
at least he will wait for mi at airport

the cab is toyota wish, so more comfortable so sit on ...

airport to sukhuvmit is 280b exclude 50b fees ...
if riverside even further, think if by meter shld be at least 400b exclude 50b fee
