Just to share.. bros who are looking for Kindle can make use of their sale.. They slash prices across all the models so can take a look if you are getting one..

Black friday kindle sale.

I got one for myself, and even though they say international shipping, it does not ship to singapore right now. So you have to use those shipper like Borderlinx or vpost, which is what i did.

Just spend the last 30 minutes talking to their customer service to clarify that they do not ship to SG at the moment.

They haven't been shipping to SG for the past 7 years as SG is not an 'authorised kindle country'.

i say get the paper white... which is what i bought..i mean the diff is 50 bucks..but anti glare is important for the eyes..

Kindle Paperwhite, for the glorious lighting.

The normal kindle doesn't have any lighting. It looks like you are reading on paper.

Kindle paperwhite has light, but it is not the usual iPad back light. The light comes from the sides pointed inwards, hence, less glare than iPads.

If you plan on reading in relatively darker areas e.g. bedroom (even with some downlights on), airplane, then get paperwhite. If you are planning to read e.g. in the MRT, bus, living room, then the normal kindle touch is good enough.

4gb, essentially around 2000 books, i.e. irrelevant to most.

I would call it light greyish. Not completely white because I think it would be too glaring. It really looks like a paperback book. The first time I saw a Kindle, I actually thought it was a fake model on display for people to handle. Until I saw the page turn...
