Another alternative is to call mastercard hotline (assuming you using the mastercard debit card)

called, key in card number, selected specific txn query .... then auto re-directed to BOC call center :s13:

I have a 22 Aug debit card txn, until now still not "posted" in my SmartSaver account, but can see in Debit Card txn on BOC IB.

Ah tiong CSO says its bcos merchant has not claimed the amount. If not posted in SS account, then wont meet criteria for DC spend. Insisted nothing they can do & ask me to call merchant.

I called Merchant who said as debit card txn, it's immediate & dont see any pending claim on their end. Even if unclaimed, after so long, would be returned.

I suspect there is some batch processing on BOC side to post debit txn to relevant savings account ...

looks like i will miss another month of 1.55%

FYI, for BOC, just do the transaction in the beginning of the month and don't bother with them anymore:) I did 2 debit card txns earlier this month, one via BOC and the other via StanChart with same merchant within minutes. StanChart's txn took 3 days to post while BOC's took a whopping 14 days. I got a shock when i received sms transaction posting alert from BOC after 14 days...

I had similar experience when using BOC debit card too, took 3 working days to be posted properly so it's good practice to factor in additional lead time especially when using debit card spending to fulfill the $500 minimum monthly spending

Hi Guys, I have a question regarding payment using debit card (Mastercard) on the fulfilment of the 500 spend criteria.

If i used to pay a bill to NEA via GIRO, is it possible to use that payment to count towards the 500 debit/credit card spend?

Apart from spending online purchases or offline (NTUC, restaurants), which GIRO transactions can be used for this spend criteria?

Thanks!

Regards

How to charge GIRO of stuff to mastercard? Isn't it charged directly to bank account? Also, if it was activated by GIRO, won't it be considered under 3 payment instead of 500 card spend? The Giro/spend is confusing

Did anyone receive the rebates for using the boc debit card (spendings in aug)?

Be specific on what u are referring to?

If it is the bonus interest, it is stated in BOC webpage that "You will receive the bonus interests within 15 business days of the following month" (i.e. if you meet criteria spending in Aug month, you will receive your bonus interest latest by 21 Sep 2016)

He is talking about the 0.1% rebate for using debit card.

Finally opened the account yesterday. Just to ask, when you open the account did you get anything else, like complimentary stuffs?

When I deposited $1500 I immediately spent about $200. I think this counts towards the card spent of $500.

I also immediately transfer about $50k. Now need to hit the giro/online bill payments. For now no salary credit because still waiting for HR reply on whether they credit to BOC or not.

Btw I did the link of card, account on my own when I got back home so there was no issue at all. As matter of fact when I got the password slip the characters was printed clearly and it was legible.

No complimentary stuff. I suppose the card you linked is the debit card, no problem with that. Can also use credit card to clock to card spend interest and get rebate at the same time.

GIRO or bill payment via ibanking from BOC smartsaver account count towards the 3 unique bill payment for the 0.6% bonus interest.

GIRO from BOC smartsaver account isn't charged vis Mastercard and don't count towards 500 card spend.

But if can charge to Mastercard debit card for recurring bill payment (eg using authorisation form), it will count towards 500 card spend.
