my spendings fluctuate between 600-2k month to month, so cannot really guarantee a >1.5k spending bonus interest.

Im getting 1.55% from 0.35% cc spend, 0.8% spend bonus and 0.4% deposit interest.

BOC smartsaver is not good for those without salary...

UOB one account + one card instead? You can spend $500 and then pay 3 bills in Giro instead of salary credit.

Hi guys, does anyone know if Poly school fees and Road Tax counts towards Card Spend ? and for that matter, online rebate on Family / Zaobao cards?

Thanks

(New) Minimum Card Spend to Earn BOC SmartSaver Bonus Interest

What is the (new) minimum card spend to earn the BOC SmartSaver bonus interest of 0.80% p.a. after the revised terms and conditions for BOC Family Card that took effect from April 24, 2018?

I think it is no longer "Minimum S$500 to enjoy 0.80% p.a." as still stated in BOC marketing materials.

I spent more than S$500 (but less than S$700) for billing cycle May 4 to June 3. However, there is no "Interest Adjustment" (for card spend) when I examined my bank transactions on Internet banking up till today! There are interest adjustments for the other categories.

Incidentally, I have also not receive cash rebate for BOC Family card spend in my "Outstanding Statement" for credit card up till today!

I think it is no longer "Minimum S$500 to enjoy 0.80% p.a." as still stated in BOC marketing materials.

still "Minimum S$500 to enjoy 0.80% p.a.". But it has been $500 in calendar month, not billing cycle.

bonus interest for spend 500 is calculated based on calendar month, while Card rebate for spend 700 is based on billing cycle.

bonus interest for spend 500 is calculated based on calendar month, while Card rebate for spend 700 is based on billing cycle.

yes, this is the tricky part.
you need to time it yourself.
and the worst thing, is BOC dont allow to move billing cycle for it to coincide. which i dont understand why not.

To earn the bonus interest for minimum S$500 card spend in calendar month for BOC SmartSaver, should one make sure the "Transaction Date" or the "Bookkeeping Date" (shown in "Past Statement Details") be within the calendar month?

The $500 card spend is based on sum of transactions with bookkeeping date (aka posted date) within calendar month
