Aug:

  1. 10k in Singlife @ 2.5%
  2. 20k in Dash EasyEarn @ 2% for 1st year
  3. 75k in UOB ONE (CC + 3 GIRO) @ 1.2%
  4. 25k in DBS Multiplier (Salary + CC only) @ 0.9% tier
  5. Balance cash if any - can consider CIMB Fastsaver - 0.5% to 0.83% up to 100k

your 3 and 4 can put in BOC for 1.45% mah..since I see you should be spending a lot on CC ?

but the BOC cards don't give much rewards for spend on the cards. At least UOB ONE gives 3.33% cashback and DBS i usually use Woman's World for 4MPD.

Actually I was reviewing again and i may go with:

  1. OCBC 70k @ 1.25% (salary + wealth)
  2. Ditch the DBS Multiplier since I can only credit one salary
  3. Use the OCBC Frank card for up to $50 cash rebates per month.
The interest forgone from DBS multiplier ($18.75) is more than made up by the FRANK cash rebates (should be able to hit $45-50 each month). Then I no need to worry about GIRO + maintaining the quarterly $500 spend which I hate tracking. Imagine missing out for one month and all the effort would be gone to waste.

Better still get up to 3.3% on DBS miltiplier (salary+3category) 100k balance
unfortunately I can't hit 3 category with DBS. Unwilling to even hit 2. Maybe next time down the road if I do take up a home loan from them

Guys, ask something... if use internet banking to pay BOC credit card bill, is it considered as bill payment (under the 3 bill payments)?

Anyone knows the answer to the above?

Also, if I setup a recurring credit card payment, does it count as well?

plan for Aug

10k Singlife 2.5%
20K dash for 2.0%
80k in BOC for 1.25% (3 condition*)
the rest in Maybank musical chair for 0.7% ?

any other suggestion for my $500 credit card spending, 3 giro and salary ?

Is UOB One better than BOC with 3 conditions hitted?

Yes, just called the call centre and point 1 above is true.

As for the 2md statement, if it is recurring payment to credit card, it is not considered as bill payment.

Giro payment from boc Smartsaver to credit card is definitely counted. Refer to the TnC.

For point 2, because BOC always post late, I tried a purchase on 28th expecting it will get posted on 1st to help in next month expense. Then it get posted on 30th which is the last day of the month.

Then I got another large purchase done on 25th expecting it to post no later than 3 days as it is the only last purchase to meet the spend target. Then BOC post it on the 1st.

Getting screwed twice is enough for me

I agree 25th spend sounds safe though. Super unfortunate..

1) Get a DBS housing loan.

2) Credit both spouses salaries into a joint account.

4) Combine credit card spending for both spouses into 1 DBS card (main card & sub card).

5) Buy lotsa shares using DBS Vickers.

you need 3 months continuous commitment on UOB, while BOC not

wrong. Rebate on the uob CC and and uob acct is 2 seperate thing. uob EIR 1.2% does not include CC rebate. If you choose to stop uob CC in 2nd month, your acct EIR still 1.2%.

Maybe it's my english.. what I meant is, if you have a recurring charge to your boc credit card, this is not counted as 1 bill payment. It has to be deducted from your smart saver account.

Yea, my 2nd point was GIRO bill payment from BOC smartsaver which should be counted as bill payment. Recurring payment charged to credit card not counted to bill payment.
