Pretty sure they do it by account? You can split 1 account into 20 $5 bill payments and it would still be counted as 1.

ya lo...

i dont think it will be counted as multiple. Dont understand what this Ticktacktoe is trying to say

everyone knows that except him...

i doubt thats the definition of profiteering

If so, then by definition of profiteering, a single Telco bill of $30 can be split into 3 different payments of $10 to profiteer from the bill payment bonus?

Or husband, wife and son got 3 accounts, 3 bills split into 9 payments to get the benefits?

I hope BOC can strengthen the loopholes, or else sooner or later, if people keep exploiting the loopholes, then BOC might end this SmartSaver plan and honest people would lose out in the long run.

Weirdly crafted reply with weird understanding.

I think with you having such thinking u dont seem to be that honest hahaha

The 3 bill payments must be via GIRO? Cause i paid for income tax (GIRO), Singtel (GIRO) and my BOC Family card had to pay via ibanking (not GIRO). This considered 3 bills? Or 2 only since BOC family card bill not GIRO

what is so difficult?

i also profiteered from boc and other banks in the past, the worst was scb when they came up with 80$ cashback and i applied and cancelled like nobodys biz.

banks should cover their own ass, that is true.

but should they demand to close your account and credit line, i think we should respect that as well.

boc is one of the worst banks i encountered in my working life in terms of online banking, customer service and marketing. their pple do not know what they are talking about and their online banking su cks so much.

however i am still engaged with them. why? cause $$$ talks. they offer the best interest in the market.

willing buyer, willing seller. play by the rules, and if the banks come back to bite, dun play victim and move on.

Unbelievable.
My credit card account is closed without informing. They day they close the day they sent letter ...so I will also be informed 2 to 3 working days after it is closed .

No notice period.

The worst is my rebates and cash back are all gone since they close my credit card account ..damn gross

Your cashback must be a really big amount for you to be so concerned. Since BOC has taken action to close your account it means you have already milked alot of rebates from them, suggest you need not be too sad over your latest cashback.

All banks tnc already cover all these. They have the right to close your account anytime. Cashback will be given only if account is in good standing.

Btw I have credit cards closed by a few banks. It should be your first time thats why you are still shocked. If you have swiped the same transactions on your other bank's card, you have to be prepared any day from now you will receive letter from other banks to close your account.

There is a bank who close my account even after I stop those transactions for more than 1 year. That one was unexpected. Soon I need to keep money in biscuit tin.

You should be happy already the bank did not claw back from you those cashback.

Seriously what kind if transactions will warrant bank to take such actions? Care to share?

Cashback also capped at $100.

Maybe sgdividend is from the bank trying to scare people not to get so much rebates because broke liao. Haha.

LOL..only reasons i can think of

1) use boc card to top up ezlink or other prepaid cards

2) unconventional online transaction like donate to charities or other relugious organization

3) use boc card pay bills on axs

none of these sound like grounds for account termination. ezlink and other prepaid cards are already excluded from rebates, and the other 2 can be easily excluded.

For the $500 CC spending, I read from previous comments that payment via AXS is counted. Is this still true? Trying to make payment for my insurance. Used to do it via credit card but seemed like prudential do not have agreement with BOC

Hi, I checked with the officer regarding this, when I opened the account, however she told me that paying through AXS via credit card, is not included in the $500 cc spending. I did not test this though, so can't confirm whether it is true.

Everything is accordance to TnC. If not in exclusion list then not excluded.

9. What are transactions that do not qualify for Bonus Interests for Card Spend?

These transactions do not qualify for this bonus:

Cash withdrawal
Fees or charges
Funds transfer or Cash advance
Transactions on BOC Cards that are terminated or unsuccessful
The unposted amounts under Installment Payment Plan (“IPP”) and Flexi-Balance transactions
Any amount charged to your BOC Debit or Credit Cards that is subsequently cancelled, voided or reversed.
