Unbelievable.
My credit card account is closed without informing. They day they close the day they sent letter ...so I will also be informed 2 to 3 working days after it is closed .

No notice period.

The worst is my rebates and cash back are all gone since they close my credit card account ..damn gross

Care to share what did you do that can cause them to be so extreme? I believe that you should know.

yes as long as u pay via ibanking via bill payment, doesnt matter how much u pay

If so, then by definition of profiteering, a single Telco bill of $30 can be split into 3 different payments of $10 to profiteer from the bill payment bonus?

Or husband, wife and son got 3 accounts, 3 bills split into 9 payments to get the benefits?

I hope BOC can strengthen the loopholes, or else sooner or later, if people keep exploiting the loopholes, then BOC might end this SmartSaver plan and honest people would lose out in the long run.

Pretty sure they do it by account? You can split 1 account into 20 $5 bill payments and it would still be counted as 1.

Bill payment bonus interest is 0.6%. Need to make bill payments to 3 unique bills. Even if you make 3x3 bill payments it is still 0.6% bonus interest. Not sure why u view this as profiteering. I don't think the bank really earn anything from the bill payment so the amount to pay don't really matter. The bank just want to encourage usage of their bill payment service.
