Hey guys, I'm intending to open either OCBC 360 or BOC smartsaver account. After comparing the 2, I'm still unsure which to pick. I probably will not be spending 500 every month so BOC only gives 0.1% more interest. (assuming <$5000 in account) On the other hand, OCBC atms are much more accessible.

Are there any other considerations that drove you guys to choose BOC over OCBC? Like credit card rebates, etc. Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks

Ask your company if they ok to deposit salary to BOC. Some companies don't.

The app is in google play. Available for download. Many of the guys here already using it.

Today visited the branch at Woodlands at 4pm. Asked the counter staff which is the correct Mobile banking APP. They say it is not officially ready for Singapore use.

So use at own risk? :s22:

Just use chrome. No need to install any plug-in.

by the way, anyone knows if it is possible to set up sms alerts for credit card?

so that if there is fraud (choy choy), i would know first hand without the need to log into the account to check everyday.

1week+ by now. 20k is split-off to their mbanking facility.

Just noticed this... :eek::eek:

Yup. Don't think it is a big issue unless someone don't have a smartphone and need to transfer more than $30k frequently.

the thing is , according to their counter staff, the mobile app is not officially can use in SG yet... there may be security risks.

The staff that attended to me when I requested for the login via SMS OTP service, told me she processed the service but the login via SMS OTP cannot be used yet for both online banking and mobile banking, ie need to wait for their HQ to activate the service. This is not true as people are actually able to use it now. Think there is obviously some miscommunication within BOC. The bank will not make the app available if it is not ready for use yet right?
