just realised this.. my Citi CC and Amex KF card can't be paid via BOC Bill Payment. Gotta think of other ways to meet the 3 bill payments :s22:

BOC family card is one. My SCB CC is the 2nd. Wonder if I pay the same CC in 2 batches on 2 different days (more than $30 each time), will they count it as 2 payments made?

payment to same CC will be counted 1 payment not matter how many times (or how much each time) within the mth.

actually you can still BOC to pay for your AMEX and CITI CC.

what i did i gotten the GIRO form from citibank and amex and under the Bank payment you filled in as Bank of China and the Smartsaver account.

though it will take about 4-6 weeks, but at least you can rest at ease that you can meet your 3 bills payment in the subsequent months

Questionssssss mainly on timing n tips......

To the veterans of Smartsaver n family card, hope u can help me with these:

1)Whats ur experience of spending near month end on ATUs? Whats the estimated posting date from date of top-up?

2) Does spending over the weekend usually result in a slower posting date compared to weekdays? I wonder if it has the same problem like paying at axs over weekend is worse off than paying on Monday. Hence prob better to delay spending during weekends near mth end?

3) With only 3 days to the end of the month, which are the safer bets to spend that will get posted by mth end?

4) For health and life insurance premiums to pay. Can we make use of any cards or payment mode of boc to settle and count towards the spending for both cc rebate n Smart Saver reward?

5) Do u all use BOC to pay your tax? if not any recommendation?

6) if I plan to do a Regular Savings Plan, any way to take advantage of Smart saver or family card?

7) For qualified bill payments under SS, does it work if I were to schedule for payment on the very last day of the month or would you recommend to do few days in advance?

Thanks in advance!

I can take a stab at 1, 2 and 3. But generally speaking, know that there's always a chance your month-end transactions won't post on time so don't cut it too close.

1.) ATU transactions take a while for me. Looking at my past transactions, there was a gap of 5 and 10 calendar days between transaction date and posting date.

2.) This is merchant-dependent (at least that's what bank CSOs would tell you when you're on the phone with them. Personally I've found most of my Saturday transactions posting on Monday.

3.) Anecdotally and personally speaking, I've always felt NTUC Fairprice rather good at posting on next biz day so maybe try buying some groceries?

any updates to this? i just tried and the same thing happened. says card cannot be used. i chose mastercard (not masterpass) via the drop down. was brought to the card details page as per last time but after i keyed in, i wasnt brought to the OTP/e-token page of BOC.

edit: went to a physical axs machine to try and had an error that the BOC debit card is not supported..

tried again today and its working liao... strange

Hello, may I know whether you changed your browser to make payment? I tried selecting mastercard then 16 digit, however it kept saying transaction cancelled. Did not work when I tried the POSB debit card mode using my POSB debit card too.

Anyone able to advise on this? I am using chrome which is updated already. Thanks!

U have activated mobile banking?
Did u see the countdown when u click obtain OTP? BOC interface is diff fr others which you need to click to get the OTP....countdown fr 60sec...if u see the countdown then at least u can be sure the OTP to mobile is activated.

By paying BOC credit card using online payment function from smart saver account, does it fulfill the 'payment bonus' criteria?
