Guys can I just check, above 60,000 is 1% or 0.6% interest rate??
The amount above 60k will get 0.6% , this amount also get base interest of 0.4% . So it is advertised as getting 1%.

However when u check the interest crediting. This 0.6% is one of the bonus interest. The 0.4% is credited based on ADB of the month.

Yeah 10charz

tyvm!

Btw i tried reading the boc smartsaver t&c, no where does it state that bill payment is excluded from card spend interest criteria clocking.

Am i missing something here cause it seems everyone is saying bill payment using the debit card is not counted as spend anymore.

Is it because it is not a retail/online transaction?

Thank you

"Enjoy 0.35% p.a. Payment bonus interest when you successfully complete 3 bill payments of at least S$30 each via GIRO or BOC Internet Banking/BOC Mobile Banking Bill Payment function."

Do A = via GIRO is counted
Do B = BOC Internet Banking/BOC Mobile Banking Bill Payment function is counted
You do C = Debit Card spend, not counted

Not counted since day 1

Hi, is this BOC SmartSaver a savings account which allows me to withdraw anytime? Does it provide higher interest rates than the normal POSB Savings account?

Yes: Its a savings account. Can use as a normal account, i.e. Giro, daily transfers, Internet banking, ATM transactions etc

The interest depends on how many criteria you can meet. The highest interest is 3.55% (for the first $60k) as compared to 0.05% for most normal savings account.

Thanks for your reply. Wow, that interest rate seems pretty high.
If I do not meet any of the criteria, is BOC’s base interest rate (for savings acct with full liquidity) the highest among all the banks?

Wouldn't advise u to pay singtel bill via their online banking. U basically get 0 rebate. Use a credit card to pay it..

Use their online banking to pay ur credit card makes more sense

Their online banking (nv try for singtel b4) but for credit card pay during weekdays...next day should be able to reflect liao...at most 2 days.
