What is "not for now"? That is how I did it. Maybe they want to hold on to your account and aren't letting you leave that easily.

Looks like they don't plan to raise interest rate. Will reduce to $200 come Jan 2023.

Just to inform a lot of ppl test the system and sooner or later they the banks will react. Yesterday in front of me BOC counter a young China? want open account and explicitly ask the counter staff if don't keep minimum 1500 and leave less than 3 how BOC deduct? Guess what the counter staff say? They thank the guy for his feedback and will relay back to HQ to give him an answer later and ask for his contact number or email!!!

So as in all games enjoy while it last. That China guy think new in Spore want to open and somehow remit back to his China other banks so not sure of Spore local culture of gaming the system

In another forum I visit some readers actually want to write in to SCB to clarify if that is true. Can you all imagine why ppl so righteous in Spore? Don't they know this is slowly killing all the loopholes we are exploiting?

That is why nowadays I don't want to exploit anymore just be an obedient customer. Dunno what day bank discover my pattern and terminate my account. In Spore I believe banks exchange info with each other? You kena banned in one sure let other banks know? Also banks have your employee of which company info? I think the risk of losing rice bowl over that minimum sum I rather pay minimum sum

Why worry? Unwritten rules, banks do not want to write every tnc they have or not have because their system cannot do or they do not want to waste money on such fixes!

The only bank who will fix every loophole is OCBC, but if it is not a loophole but just unwritten rule, they will tell u can keep zero in OCBC360 to avoid fall below fee in this forum. Others because kind soles tested, share with u. Otherwise some are willing take the risk and to keep zero and pay fall below fees cos their monies can earn more than fall below fees else where!

How about frank ac applies the same? Wah piang if so wasted time to queue at branch just to close the ac. Actually u r right should have try to withdraw all and keep zero to try iso queuing for 4.5hrs.

They haven't implemented mobile token right.. their hard token battery dies very fast.. that's another reason I wanna close account. But close account needa Q, change new token also Q.. no choice but to just leave it at 0 (or 200 starting from Jan if you want to keep the account).
