Can someone confirm that Singhealth app payment get 3% under online ?

Because BOC CSO told me in 2021 that MCC code is 8099 and not eligible for min sum and rebate.

Polyclinics and hospitals are now pushing to online payments.

Yes. The $10k (amount above $100k) gets 1% only. Extra saving bonus 0.6% + 0.4% base interest.

Note that the balance is average monthly balance. So if you did not deposit on 1st day of the month, need to work out the monthly average

I see some people interpreting this wrongly. Above 100k you only get 1%, so it is not really "extra" saving bonus. You are losing out if you keep anything more than 100k ADB. I know you know this. But just stating this so that it is clear to everyone.

First time I heard this. Many cards specifically excludes insurance from their cash rebate or points rewards.

Me too.. I thought Maybank Visa is the only card that can do online insurance. But flip through the tnc for BOC family card, it really doesn't exclude insurance in the tnc..
But not many insurer accept online Visa payment.. so far I only know 1 ...

Perhaps you get rebate under online.
Anyway, hospital/online/supermarkets share the same category, maximum 25 dollars rebate only.
If you want more, you have to dine out more which will increase spending significantly. Or you can structure your purchase in such a way that you spend more in Family Club Merchants like Popular/Watsons/Unity/Best Denki

Qualified for UOB One card quarterly rebate. Singhealth app is not 'hospital' MCC, otherwise it won't qualify for UOB One.. If want to use BOC, need to pay direct at the hospital/polyclinic..

Yeah Prudential allows credit card payment, and can make multiple payment for 1 policy. So far I only used Maybank Visa for it. Maybe next time can combine with BOC Family as well.. hmm...

Maybank I only use friends and family, best card ever. Monthly cash rebate consistently 55 to 60.
However, with the new BOC Smartsaver, I think I have to shift some friend and family card spending to BOC Family card.

Just to double confirm, you have made direct insurance payment with BOC Family before (not through iPayMy/Cardup) and gotten the rebate right?

Maybank I only use friends and family, best card ever. Monthly cash rebate consistently 55 to 60.
However, with the new BOC Smartsaver, I think I have to shift some friend and family card spending to BOC Family card.

I think they are different usage cards.. I think I will keep my Maybank FF and use BOC Family for insurance and Fastfood.

One disadvantage of BOC cards is that the lowest amount for SMS notification trigger is $100, unlike 1c or $1 from other bank. So a bit hard to consolidate the spending if your family member holds a sup card or you pass your card to your family member to use..

Went to the branch to fill up form many years ago. Not sure if can do online.

Maybank family card the dining rebate is damn headache.

I get less rebate than BOC Family card but find it easier to use because of the benefit optimizer. Can know early whether eligible or not and how much is short.

Paying health hub is online, should get. I don't see any reason why it can't

Go to BOC counter and fill up a form. Can change all the alert trigger amount to be S$0.01 minimum. After that, I receive every notification when money is deducted from my CC

I keep a list of MCC for the restaurant/fast food merchant that I usually purchase from.. after a while, you can roughly tell whether it is restaurant 5812 or fastfood 5814 even if you never patronize before.. 5813 even easier to tell..
