I even said I'm making giro application what is the bank and branch code? After that I asked so I just put my account number starting with 6500? She said yes!

Previous post also mentioned that removal of 6500 is required :x

The internet banking is terrible. For firs time login, do I click "activate and bind etoken"?

I didn't do that because the token seems to be activated and I do not see an activate code on the token. If I click login normally, I either get network error or "security level mismatch".

No need to bind and activate if you had gotten it from the branch.

Your account will be locked if you already tried more than 5 times. You will need to wait after 0000 hrs to retry again.

The password is correct and my account is not locked. If I click on bind, it correctly authenticates and brings me to an activate token page (but it is already activated).

If I click login, it is always network error or security level mismatch. No prompt of wrong password.

Someone mentioned b4 in earlier post.

U do not bind if u gotten the token from the branch. Tell tale sign they helped u bind? The lady will look at the back of the token and type the serial code in her computer.

Hence, likely u do not have to bind.

Step 1. Go to BOC personal Login Site

Step 2. Look for the password field

Step 3. Click on the password field

Step 4. Download an activeX file upon prompt (skip this step if yours has already been installed)

Step 5. Use the userid and password in the letter

Step 6. Click the power button on your token

Step 7. Click the button on top right

Step 8. Fill the OTP number with the TOKEN field

Step 9. Key the characters (the captcha thingy)

Step 10. Click Login

Cant comment on the activate and bind, since mine is from the branch directly..

Update: just realised he managed to log in already

To register your Saving account in IB

Step 1. Click either the navigation pane or the icon "Account Mgmt"

Step 2. Click account

Step 3. Click the unregister tab

Step 4. Find your account and register

Done

Sorry for all my above steps are basing on memory. On bus now unable to type with the exact words BOC uses. Sorry if it lead to abit of confusion. But hopefully the main gist is there

There's no need to bind if you gotten your token from the branch. Just login.

Mine is from the branch. Using your steps above, it gives me a security mismatch error.

"add billing organisation" option, is the same as applying for a particular bill to be paid by giro?

Btw, my friend intentionally enters a wrong password to show me the screen. It is not "security level mismatch" but a properly lockout message.

While mine shows a different one.

QUOTE from BOC

4. What can I do if I am not able to log in to Internet Banking with the correct credentials?

For security reason, if you have logged in with your Internet Banking credentials (username/password/eToken OTP) unsuccessfully for 5 times in a day, your Internet Banking service will be temporarily locked and only be released the following day.

If you have tried to log in with your credentials for a total of 15 times consecutively, your Internet Banking service will be disabled and you would need to proceed to one of our branches to unlock your Internet Banking service.

If you have entered the correct credentials but you still encounter "Password is invalid", please try the following:

a. Check that you have accessed our website from www.bankofchina.com/sg

b. Remove the security applet from Control Panel and reinstall. Follow the instructions on how to access Bank of China Internet Banking for the first time.

c. Clear your browsing history and log in again

Please contact our 24-hour customer service hotline at 1800 66 95566 or + (65) 677 95566 (from overseas) for assistance.

I had the same message when i tried to login a few times during my 1st day.

The default password provided contain 'Q' and it was so blur that i had to try '0', 'O' and 'Q'. I only managed to login sucessfully the 2nd day l.

I tried on mine. I enter userid wrong, they say wrong id.

I tried entering password wrong, they say password wrong

I tried using token wrong, they say token error

So I do not know how to make the Security Mismatch dialogue out. Sorry, tried my best, but dont know how. If only I can make the same dialogue out, it might be easier to pin point the error
