I decided to leave this 3rd best CC to all of you esp the 5% rebate promo quota. I applied for CIMB plat mas and vis sig instead.
Too troublesome to go down to get the form.

Do you guys think 350 is all taken already as of now? The bank is unable to give an answer right?

I received the card and it comes with a welcome letter stating that there's a 6% rebate for the first 3 months without any mention of first 350 customers. Naturally I take it as I qualify.

However upon calling the customer service officer, he told me there's no way to ascertain whether I qualify until the end of 3 months upon which I may or may not get the rebate. Really doesn't inspire any confidence.

Since you got the letter in black and white, should be qualify. I just applied last week and promoter told me only 50 applicants so far.

If you call up again, I won't be surprised if another CSO tell you different story.

Usually cross border fee is 2.5% - breakdown being 1% charged by Visa/Master and 1.5% charged by the bank.

BOC Infinite waives the 1.5% so logically u will get a better rate.

usual foreign currency exchange fee is 2.5% which consists of fees to VISA 1% and fees to BOC 1.5%. The 1.5% is waived, so left only 1% fees to VISA for transaction in foreign currency. But if I read correctly the 6% rebate applies only for spending in Singapore, so no point using this card to earn 1% rebate and than pay 1% fee, end up no rebate.

Actually difference is only 1%.

BOC u gain 1.5% from waiver.

Other card maybe give u 4% or 5% from overseas spending. They charge u 2.5%. Net rebate is also 1.5- 2.5%.
