CAAS temporarily suspends Boeing 737 MAX aircraft operations in Singapore
This will affect SilkAir, China Southern Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, Shandong Airlines and Thai Lion Air.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) is temporarily suspending operation of all variants of the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft into and out of Singapore, taking effect on 12 March 2019.
Rumours swirling in the US that it is either a software or fuselage issue. I will accumulate more when it corrects steeper than last night.
Next 48 hours is critical. As long as FAA sticks behind it, it should be ok.
I still suspect it is pilot error or failure to understand properly the software. Seen too many cases of end users not being properly trained or failure to understand the intricacies of software.

It's so evident, US is the only major country not to ground Boeing. Isn't it partiality because Boeing is from US. Then what China does about Huawei is also right.
It is consumers who decide whether they want to fly on the 737. If consumer demand for 737 is low, it makes no difference what the FAA say.

Regarding Boeing stock, I think it is all about timing. Eventually it will rise like Volkswagen. But you need to time it right
Before buy Boeing, summarise my findings. Airbus developed an efficient model. Boeing countered by redevelop an existing model and sold as no need for pilot retraining. This renew model is 747max, it sold very well because of this reason, bump up Boeing earnings. Boeing did not tell airlines, no retraining is because of an AI software installed to control the renew engine. The 2 crashes are somewhat caused by the pilots unfamiliarity and fought against the secret software for control.
I feel Boeing could be in for numerous lawsuits and costly fixes if so. Profits and share prices can go lower!
Boeing will patch the software soon. Software automation is very scary. Once it goes wrong, it's a disaster. Air France Flight 296 accident is one example. If the software works, then Boeing maybe liable.
