CAAS temporarily suspends Boeing 737 MAX aircraft operations in Singapore
This will affect SilkAir, China Southern Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, Shandong Airlines and Thai Lion Air.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) is temporarily suspending operation of all variants of the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft into and out of Singapore, taking effect on 12 March 2019.

Rumours swirling in the US that it is either a software or fuselage issue. I will accumulate more when it corrects steeper than last night.

Your theory changed from training and maintenance issue to software and fuselage issue, but you still want to double down?

Really all hardcore gamblers here.

Boeing will patch the software soon. Software automation is very scary. Once it goes wrong, it's a disaster. Air France Flight 296 accident is one example. If the software works, then Boeing maybe liable.

Next 48 hours is critical. As long as FAA sticks behind it, it should be ok.
I still suspect it is pilot error or failure to understand properly the software. Seen too many cases of end users not being properly trained or failure to understand the intricacies of software.

It is consumers who decide whether they want to fly on the 737. If consumer demand for 737 is low, it makes no difference what the FAA say.

It's so evident, US is the only major country not to ground Boeing. Isn't it partiality because Boeing is from US. Then what China does about Huawei is also right.

Regarding Boeing stock, I think it is all about timing. Eventually it will rise like Volkswagen. But you need to time it right

I suggest you read more. The software and features isn't even in the manuals for the lion air pilots to study and understand. Boeing made the manuals. Boeing is liable for the pilots being poorly trained.

go n read more. The FAA had previously halted the Boeing Dreamer because of safety issues.
I think the next 48 hours is critical because my greatest fear is when customers vote with their feet. I am waiting for a lower price to buy more.

Before buy Boeing, summarise my findings. Airbus developed an efficient model. Boeing countered by redevelop an existing model and sold as no need for pilot retraining. This renew model is 747max, it sold very well because of this reason, bump up Boeing earnings. Boeing did not tell airlines, no retraining is because of an AI software installed to control the renew engine. The 2 crashes are somewhat caused by the pilots unfamiliarity and fought against the secret software for control.

I feel Boeing could be in for numerous lawsuits and costly fixes if so. Profits and share prices can go lower!

Yes, I think you are correct. But these problems are temporary, although it may take some time to solve them.

Without naming Boeing's situation specifically, Trump tweeted, "Airplanes are becoming far too complex to fly. Pilots are no longer needed, but rather computer scientists from MIT. I see it all the time in many products. Always seeking to go one unnecessary step further, when often old and simpler is far better. Split second decisions are needed, and the complexity creates danger. All of this for great cost yet very little gain. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want Albert Einstein to be my pilot. I want great flying professionals that are allowed to easily and quickly take control of a plane!"

I like trump’s 2 cents worth on the issue.

This is one counter that I would pick a bottom to buy. Depending on the reasons for the crash, there could be cancelled orders, lawsuits and liabilities. But Boeing being half of a duopoly would rise from the ashes down the road. Looking at price action, there were ready buyers on dip. However, the next few days would see more countries banning or suspending the 747 Max until the root issue of the crash is resolved. This may not be good for the current stock price unless Boeing addresses the issue very quickly and a number may be put on potential liabilities.
