hi all, for those who use the 'Invest' category, can I check that we will still be able to qualify for the 2.5% even after we sell the funds (UTs), within the 6 months?

planning to go through this route in August when I don't foresee anymore 3.xx% available... next month still can rejoin EGA for a last hurray (provided they don't drop the '7-transactions' rate below 2%)
@maumu why don't you start next month instead? 4% better than 3.xx%

Hopefully! Fingers crossed! Thanks for your advise... I will go open account the next few days start my Bonus$aver journey from June! $50k can get $198 of SPDR ETF too!
Too bad i can't enjoy this as it seems this is only given if we also apply for credit card at the same time.

EGA seems to be until June only. How you know July will give 3.xx?
Anyway if my application for Bonus Saver is approve in early July I'll start in July.

Thanks @ThreeSteps for your sharing in this thread. Very informative indeed!

Hi. Anyone used Cardup to pay income tax and qualify the bonus interest for spending on the bonus savers credit card?
Also, sidetrack, do u encounter using Easybill to pay income tax? I reached the point to choose Easybill and enter amt but there is no button for me to click next.
TIA.

In the terms and conditions for invest bonus interest buying of equities. There is a exclude clause called sgx etf restrictions. Anyone know what is that supposed to mean? All etf listed in sgx does not count?

am banking on it giving 2.xx% + 1% everyday+

but well, you're also not wrong to suggest to start earlier in July for Bonus Saver... let me think about how I want to spread the eggs around... 🤔

When i google "which etf have been restricted by sgx"

This the answer i got.

"The NikkoAM-StraitsTrading MSCI China Electric Vehicles and Future Mobility ETF and Amova MSCI AC Asia ex Japan ex China Index ETF have been restricted by the Singapore Exchange (SGX). These restrictions were implemented on September 20, 2021, and November 18, 2024, respectively.

The restrictions on these ETFs are related to the specific investment strategies or underlying holdings of the funds. In the case of the Nikko AM ETF, the restriction likely stems from the focus on the China electric vehicles and future mobility sector, which may have faced regulatory or market-related challenges. Similarly, the Amova ETF, which tracks the MSCI AC Asia ex Japan ex China Index, might have encountered issues related to the index's composition or the overall performance of the Asia ex-Japan and China region.

It's important to note that restrictions on ETFs are not uncommon and can be implemented for various reasons, including regulatory changes, market volatility, or concerns about the fund's investment strategy. Investors should always carefully review the specific reasons for any restrictions on an ETF before making investment decisions.

For a more comprehensive understanding, it's recommended to consult the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) website or the SGX website for detailed information on the specific restrictions and their rationale. "

From the above my personal understanding is referring to those specifically restricted by SGX.

For more confirmation is better to check with SC directly.

If In this case, Can I assume if a ETF is tradable on SGX, then it is not under restriction, and buy on SCB plateform qualified the investment catagory?
I was thought all the ETFs cannot be qualified.

This list seems to reflect all got problem kind of stocks. So the tell tale sign is ETF that are specially restricted. That's my take. But the best is to confirm with SC.

Eligible Online Equities refer to shares that are tradable on SC Online Trading, but does not include the following:i) delisted or suspended shares;ii) shares that are in certificate form;iii) warrants;iv) LPS securities;v) US OTC securities;vi) SGX ETF restrictions;vii) securities sanctioned by the Bank’s internal policies; andviii) shares subject to regulatory and compliance restrictions.
