For those of you who have unit trust account opened, is it normal to have a new account show up? I'm referring to SGD Cheque and Save account. Not sure what's the purpose for this account especially i already have esaver..

Last year when I submit online application for UT a/c, I already have e$aver a/c and Bonus$aver a/c. No new cheque/saving a/c appear.

Maybe the system not working well & cannot interpret the options you selected, so it decide to create a default SGD current a/c for you to use with UT. e$aver is a saving a/c.

Please note that if you are buying UT for the Bonus$aver promo, the lumpsum amount must be debited from your Bonus$aver a/c as the evidence that you have bought UT. Bonus$aver t&cs criteria is not about ‘wealth holdings’ but it is about BUYING UT or BUYING Equities.

For easybill payment, if select by installment there is no fee. Should this be a better option to use then?

Thank you so much for pointing this out. I overlook this.. when I open my Bonus Saver next month I'll link the debiting to it.

I did call up but the cs says will take 3 to 5 days to let me know what to do with the extra acc as I don't want to be charge FBF especially current account can go negative if I'm not wrong.

does this bonus saver have a tracker or something that shows whether you have hit the target for each of the component, similar to what DBS Multiplier does?
- Salary crediting
- Card spend
- Insure
- Invest

- Salary crediting
- Card spend

- Invest
SALA/Card - No tracker
Invest - No tracker, but will show description with counter when interest is credited eg. 'Bonus Interest (Invest) 9 of 12...' -based on the older t&cs.

Hi. Anyone used Cardup to pay income tax and qualify the bonus interest for spending on the bonus savers credit card?

...
am interested to know about this as well.

haven't used Cardup for a long time since they were no longer eligible for cashback under UOB One. if use Cardup to pay for tax - does it qualify under eligible card retail spend?

so the $20,000 is inclusive of fees & charges (amount deducted from BonusSaver) or must hold $20,000 worth of UT or equities ( before adding the fees and charges)?

I don’t have an exact answer for you because I always estimate more, to be on the safe side.

Last year (older t&cs-$30k UT for 12 months BI), I subscribed UT S$30,200 & the lumpsum S$30,200 was deducted from Bonus$aver a/c. When the advice is available, it show that I have bought 1,394.492 units of XYZ Fund at S$21.57 with sales charge (0.4%) = S$120.81 . When UT was eventually sold, sale charge is shown as $0

Recently in June (latest t&cs-$20k UT/Equities for 6 months BI), I switch to buying shares & bought on 3 different days & the 3 amounts are deducted from Settlement a/c. Total add up to S$21,972 i.e. qty*share price = S$21,920 and S$52 for (brokerage/clearing/access fee & GST).

Ah. I have bought my UT payment from my esavers account . The T&C didn't say must pay from Bonus savers account. Maybe I should call in to appeal. I decided to play it safe and not buy ETF and buy UT because of the "exclusion clause ETF restrictions". Cost of UT is higher than cost of buying equities. And equities don't need to bother which account transfer to settlement account. All the wrong decisions. Haiz.

Since it is for the Bonus$saver Promo, I just make an assumption that the UT lumpsum should be deducted from Bonus$saver a/c & funding for Equities better to transfer from Bonus$saver a/c to Settlement a/c. If t&cs did not specify which a/c to be deducted from, contact the bank & clarify.

Just my personal opinion that if doing Equities, it is better to buy 1-3 good individual company shares rather than buy an ETF. With the half-year (30June) results coming out soon in July/Aug, some shares pay good dividends in addition to potential short-term share price increase. Of course, need to do some read-up and monitor the prices.

Actually I'm considering MBH but there's this unclear part about ETF esp @maumu shares that bank staff told him ETF isn't eligible for bonus when he went to sign up yesterday. Will see how it goes.

Hi, I placed a 20k sc invest (their in-house ut) on 19th morning via mobile app. Up to now, still pending... Anyone encounter such issues?
I already have existing ut account so won't be an issue.

The hotline can't help and I don't wanna trouble my RM since they r not earning anything.

the agent who helped me open B$, explained all the stuff about the categories and conditions, processed my purchase using her laptop and clocked $20k to be deducted from my B$ account. so, I will 'blame' her if I don't qualify for the BI next month...

but my hunch is that $20k means it includes all fees and deductions, since different UTs would have different fees, etc. so, as long as it's $20k deducted I think it should be 'safe'.

will share next month if any dai ji.

Unless there is a different process for SC Invest, those UT I bought previously via normal online has UT lumpsum amt deducted from Bonus$aver a/c on same day as UT request submitted & the actual UT bought may take 2-3 biz days to appear in UT Investment a/c.

SCB CSO told me Invest bonus is calculated based on the day you invested to that month end of MAB 2.5%pa, pro-rated calculation and will last for 6 months. Previously at my OCBC first Invest bonus, I got full month of MAB 1.5%pa during that month and another 11 consecutive months.
