hello, spotted this thread while surfing hwz. i was a bowler for my jc team and stopped since army. retired now and hand is a little itchy but cant bowl due to budget constraints. perhaps i can share what i know (though limited)

Some specs to get everyone to know me:

Right hand hook bowler (used 14pound, columbia messenger tit and white dot for spares)

lifetime average ard 150, average ard 175 during competitive time, current average is 0 (since not bowling)

more of a tweener (do they use this term anymore?) which is a cross btw a stroker and power bowler.

normally use board 5 and below for normal line, board 7 and below when playing safe.

is that all? cant remember that much.

and a reply to Sonic_, spares win the game, not strikes. conc on making spares (use pin 7. 5 and 10 as guide and move from there to hit the other spares)

once again, great to see so many ppl interested in bowling since the 'heyday' of early 2000s.
nice to meet you guys.

HELLO! These days spares alone CANNOT really win the game in certain lane conditions. Dun need conc stikes of course but a whole clean game with a few strikes does make a big diff.

These days to win tournaments you need at least 210 average or so to win for my age kind....depends on condition also of course. But usually ard there.

haahaahaahaahaa....

this ball juz reminds me of jazreel tan in the nationals..
lolx.. her fav ball. hahahah...

it has a big smilry face in front n many many small small smileys at the back.. ( if i m nt wrong)

its a spare ball frm brunswick.. u can get it at a few places.. either yishun, csc bukit batok, or pasir ris as these 2 proshops r operated by brunswick distributor uncle frank..

u can get it like wat qiansong says.. at u bowling.. more a cheaper price as the brunswick shops normally sell at high prices..

the 220 does include drilling though.. =) but i m nt sure if they add finger inserts or thumb plug.. might have additional charges..

Jazreel and Amanda have the strongest release IMHO among the local girls, the rest too 'stroker-like', arguably harder to beat the stronger non-Asian bowlers.
