Just curious...
loading definitely allow use of brick or hollow block walls. No issue at all.

as a general rule of thumb for layman, non structural elements can be removed.
For experts, some structural elements can be tweaked/adjusted if you know what you are doing. Of course HDB will think otherwise.
The higher the floor, loading required on the structural elements will be less. Hence if one check the structural loading calculations from structural engineers, one will find some columns on top 2 floors can be smaller or removed.

Aiya just check your floorplan la. The darker and bold colour is structured wall la. And others might be drywall.

The drywall does not give good protection against noise. But it's not so easy to kick la. More likely it will break your leg than you break the wall.

Cannot. The building design cannot take the weight. These days, even condo also use drywall.
don't anyway say cannot. HDB renovation is controlled at 1.2-1.5kN/sqm (cannot remember liao). Normal public buildings are usually done at 2.5kN/sqm (if my memory serves me well). At 1.2-1.5kN/sqm more than enough to use hollow block walls at strategic places add cement to support wall installation eg. TV. My agaration is probably use brick walls may not be an issue as well. Reno experts can prove me wrong since me no expert.
Even partition wall can install wall mount TV. Just apply 2 layers of 18mm chipboard (wardrobe material) and support 75" TV liao.

Dry wall can add insulation materials within to prove sound insulation. Of course interfacing detailings and workmanship have to be done appropriate to ensure minimum to no weak points for leakage.

Never hear of anyone’s flat have soggy walls. Mold yes especially toilet areas.
IMHO.
You see those HDB flats that the exterior the paint colour like different. Those are likely to be soggy walls.
So the consideration is not for new HDB is whether having wall mounted furniture is a good thing.

Actually only the top floor beams are thicker. Rest of the floors are same due to precast walls and modules.

The drywall that HDB used is rated for minimum 25kg load at each anchor point. With sufficient anchor point , you can mount most stuffs.

I personally havent seen soggy wall. What are the issues of soggy wall? I would imagine any structural impact from soggy wall is covered by building warranty.

I suspect for those units at my block that have special paint outside, maybe water seepage.
