Built a brand new rig or wait ........

Hi Guy I decided to built a brand whole new rig after saving some money,but i went to few times to SLS to inquire but they do not have some of the stocks. I wonder should I go for aftershock ( I not related or advertise for them) here are my plan built list and aftershock list. Do your think i wait for a few months or end of the years for SLS available stock or go for aftershock, any comments or advise is appreciated.
My original plan list

it’s totally up to you to justify your own purchase. if you got real use or games that you’re itching to play, then just get and don‘t look back at the price.. else it’s really any one’s guess on when this price and stock craziness is going to last, maybe 6 months, maybe 1 year.. honestly if i am to build a new set now, i’d likely just get from pc builders since it’s the easiest way to secure the parts..

by PC builder i meant Aftershock, Dreamcore, Mansa etc hah.. i don’t recommend pre-built like like HP, Asus since you can’t know what motherboard and PSU is used and may have limited upgradability, pre-built high-end like Alienware and Asus ROG usually command a premium vs build to order PC builders.. but even for PC builders, you need to know exactly what you want, and cannot expect 110% diligence, sometimes you still have to check to see if everything is plugged in to the correct position etc..

In simple sense, really depends on your wallet cos if budget like sky is the limit parts can be obtain anytime

Pre-build PC issues are high price and limited upgrade path.
Given the current situation due to pandemic, prices will definitely go up as
as well as certain items are difficult to find.

If you want to consider Prebuild PC, Lenovo Legion 7i is build something like DIY PC.

Take note between Intel 10th and 11th, 10th gen still worth to buy as 11th is disappointing according to reviews.
One key advantage for prebuild is warranty, if you buy from Aftershock the service is not next day/within three working days since the part have to RMA so may take few weeks.

Lenovo wise if they have part than they can service it within three business day.

U might want to consider used parts as well to build yr new rig. Many are still with warranty, the setback is mainly for RX 6800 u are looking at $1900+.

As long as you can afford, unable to wait and won't regret, then you should go ahead. In my opinion is the worst time to get a computer because every manufacturer is claiming shortage and increasing prices. Under normal circumstances, that Aftershock PC should ideally only cost 60% of that 5K you mentioned.

Perhaps to make the cost less crazy, you should consider compromising on some of the specs, i.e. getting a Ryzen 5 or 7, instead of the super rare Ryzen 9 5900X which will add a considerable premium. As things get better in the future, you can then consider if you want to move over to Zen 4 or get the a Zen 3 Ryzen 9. Also, I would not recommend you to get additional SSD or higher end RAMs from the likes of Aftershock. The top up prices are over the top, and you should be able to get cheaper SSDs and similar RAMs from say Amazon. Adding or changing these parts won't void your warranty.

I just use it for daily use watch movies playing games and edit photos and hope it will last me at least 5 years

Sadly that found out from Aftershock chatroom inquire they do not have the Sapphire Nitro 6800XT told me to wait for 2 months and no promise.

Thank for advise as i never bought things fro Amazon and afraid if the item faulty and time to wait i do not know what to do as mention SLS shop told me even 2-3 months time no promise got stocks.
