Hello!

I'm looking for a cabin luggage, and after searching and researching, I'm finally decide to go with Lojel.

Planning to get this Carapace Model as it is non-zippered type and have "net" on both side.

But is it worth the $$ to spend on this? or I can get a cheaper model or other brand.

Thanks for all the experts help!:D

lojel is not bad, i am using their wave model.

This carryon is actually quite heavy at 3.4kg
Another problem with mine and other hardside carryon luggages is that there is no outside pocket.

If u are ok with no exterior storage, see if u can get a lighter carryon so u can stay within the weight limit(if any).

I'm violent to my things, worried that I might spoil the zipper plus I walk around looking at luggages, now the luggage's. zipper like not as good as last time one.

While shopping for a carry-on luggage in Melaka recently, I was shown a particular brand with "stronger zippers". It cost more than what I was willing to pay for a carry-on so I picked a different brand.

Can't remember what it was, but if you're really concerned about zippers giving way, just to let you know that there are others with stronger zippers out there.

Have so far not come across burst zippers, but I've a habit of using a luggage strap whenever I pack quite a bit of things into a luggage at the end of a trip. A habit I picked up after my Samsonite luggage burst open on one trip.

Yup, weight is my main concern for a carry-on luggage, especially if that's going to be the only luggage I want to handle on a trip.

Delsey is one brand that has a range (or maybe more) with stronger zippers, though the prices are "stronger" too.

Hijacking this thread to ask my question :p

What size will be considered cabin size? I know airlines requirement are in dimensions but retailers always sell as 20", 22" etc.

So by 20" which measurement is that? Any guideline for the appropriate size for cabin sized? Do all 20" luggage have the same dimension measurement? Thanks all!

Yes 56cm is about 22".

Different airlines have different dimensions for their carryon baggage.
Check which airline u most often fly on and work from there.
Some are super strict and some dont care at all.

Also take note of the weight.

? 56cm = 22" is it calculated like this?

If weight is an issue, can try CabinZero. I use this one. Less than 800g. Confirm can maximise your allowance. But its a backpack.

when buying rimowa, please check the wheels carefully. i bought one from the boutique but didn't check until i got home, at that time i realized not balanced, and when i took to the service center, it was diagnosed as having an uneven base, i.e. the aluminium body doesn't sit flush on an even ground. it was attributable to "100% hand-made", that's why these things happen. all that i got was a convenient work-around i.e. adjusted the length of one wheel... totally disappointed and felt like throwing the whole bag at them

Rimowa hand assembled right? Hand made - case machine made operated with hands of course

I think it's more QC issue not hand made issue. Just an excuse to have lame QC

Such brands offer lifetime warranty don't boast hand made in 1st world country

Any local experience claiming warranty of eaglecreek or B&R locally? Really no matter what and simple as that? Or ask long ask short?
